This class is being kept on in the event we get a large turnout and people have more clods than there are classes and essentially is an "over-flow" class. no motor limit, BL motors allowed, no cell limits. Must use rubber monster type V-tread tires. 4-minute races.

----Mini Monster Truck
Stock or Mod set-ups (including motors) allowed. We'll run this class this way until we see if there's enough to make a stock and mod class. Basically, run what you have if it is a TLT-1, Losi Mini LST or any of the other mini monster trucks. 4-minute races.

----Trophy Trucks
This class is for trucks such as the Slash and similar types. It is a modified class and BL motors are allowed, so no motor limits. Up to 7-cell NIMH/NICad

As mentioned above, Lipo batteries are being allowed at this event. There are rules covering several areas that must be followed. These rules are straight from ROAR and we are using them word for word. Two areas we will not budge on are these:
---Battery manufacturer
---Battery charging bags

Here is the list of ROAR approved Lipo batteries:
http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/lipobattery.php

It is critical that ALL Lipos used be in their factory hard cases. Batteries not in a hard case will not be permitted to run.

It is VERY important that any Lipo you intend to use at this event only be a 2-cell Lipo. Anything over that will not be allowed. If you run an unapproved Lipo battery that does meet the standards we have posted, the truck it runs in will be DQ'd for the class it is racing in. Safety is paramount and we will not budge on that.

Here is the list of approved charging bags:
--Common Sense Lipo bag
--Racers Edge Lipo Bag
--K&S Lipo bag
--WoodWorks Lipo Sack
--MaxAmps Lipo sack

All racing classes are open for Lipo usage.

If you would like to read more about the rules establised by ROAR, please follow this link: http://www.roarracing.com/rules.php Pages 34 - 37 cover our needs.

Yes, Lipo's are allowed. There are limitations though and that's why I didn't post it up yet. I meant to follow up the topic with a post about Lipos but I fell asleep:rof

We are going to use ROAR rules. Full Lipo details and rules regarding them are now added to the main topic. If you intend to use Lipos, PLEASE read the rules regarding them VERY carefully.

I'll be going this year.....

I haven't attended a race for well over a year; seems like its been even longer.

Anyway, I'm glad that this particular race is still going on. 2009 is actually my 20th year with R/C's. I don't know if I will be attending many events in the future so I plan on bringing 20 of my CLODBUSTERS for all attending to see. There is alot of Clod history in the trucks, several full CCP, Sassy Chassis conversions, ESP, and various race trucks. I will also bring my 2 latest "OLD SCHOOL" projects that I have completed. Both are old name trucks that were awesome in the day, and I know I have recreated them with the utmost respect due.

I will also bringing parts and some "Paint Factory" bodies that will be available for purchase.

It will be great seeing many of you again hopefully this will be a large turnout for all involved.

Mike E. and Neil, I'd like to PAINT a raffle body, if it helps out. It will be a great prize for some lucky person. $150.00 worth of custom paint should sound great to folks.

Hey Brian. Glad to hear you'll be there. I hope this isn't a farewell race. Thank you very much for donating a body to be given away. You've done us that favor before and it was really well received. I have no doubt it will go great again. For anybody who may not be aware, Brian does very nice paint work.......very very nice work.

Anybody who attends who is not familiar with Brians trucks and his paint work will be amazed. I know a lot of what you have Brian and I can't wait to see it all again plus the stuff I haven't seen. Your collection will be a show in itself.

This is a great response so far, I'm really glad to see it. Several have not been to one of our events and if you all are able to attend, you'll experience a different kind of monster truck racing. It's a lot of fun. Bring a camera too:tmb

I'm really hoping I can make the trip from Detroit. Haven't raed in years, so it'll be a long way to go to get embarrassed on the track ... not like that's ever stopped me before.
