***Major announcment!!!***

John Peoples from A.B. Charles Hobby Shop has stepped up and hooked us up with not one, but TWO awesome raffle prizes for the event.

One prize is an HPI 4x4 Wheely King!

Another prize is an Axial Scorpion!

There may also be some other door prizes added as well, but I don't have specifics on that yet. I just wanted to share the information on the raffle trucks as these are both really cool prizes. The tickets will be very reasonable, too. This is definately confirmed, too, as I have both trucks right now!

Thanks to A.B. Charles and John Peoples for such an incredible gesture!
These guys are 100% behind the hobby...any hobby.

Thank you AB-C and John P for the support...

I have a couple 7 cell packs, but they are probably in worse shape than yours! John might have some with him this weekend...

I can't for this weekend. It should be a really great time!

I saw the pic of the ramp/underpass. This will be very interesting:drool I get the feeling this will not be a high-speed track:rof That's cool, that's cool.....new challenges are always a good thing:tmb

Well my dad called me today he's been really sick these past 2 days. We have about a 1% chance of making it now so you guys take lots of pictures for me.

Nope. just regular, old jumps... <evilgrin>:wnk

The lap racing track's layout is a modified version of my son's creation. He came up with the original idea and I re-worked it a little to make it work better. Credit for the implementation/construction of the key elements of the track goes to TOTAL CARNAGE for his generaous donation of materials and labor. I have to say that this track layout was meant to be. Everything just sort of fell into place, even so far as the materials to build it. And this course is like nothing ever attempted at the track before!

So if you like the design, be sure to tell my son so, he would like to hear it!:tmb LOL! And if you hate it, it's his fault! ROFL!!!:rof

On the eve of the bash, there were a few familiar faces that made the trek tonight. There was also a busy "regular" friday night club race as well. The track is all set up for the lap racing and a few of us got familiar with the unique course layout. This is looking to be one heck of an event! Anybody that misses this one is gonna kick themselves!

well i didnt have a chance to see them run but from what I did see they look great. They are really tall and narrow compared to say a moab or claw which should be a good thing for all the crawling guys. The also seem to have a soft enough compound to get the most grip on the rocks.
