My son and I have come up with an excellent idea for a course layout for WMB6, we just need some help. Does anyone have access to a sheet of expended steel mesh(like they use on utility trailer floors) that measures 6' wide by 14' long? If anyone knows where we can get our hands on one, ideally to borrow for the weekend, any help would be appreciated. I wont be modifying it, bending it or hurting it at all. Please let me know! LOL!

i smell a bridge in the works ;)

i'll keep my eye out, and see if i come across anything. or, if it's not too expensive i'll consider buying a piece and donating it to the cause.

Wish I could help Digger but I have nothing like that or I'd get it right to you.

Yeah, Tom, it's been a while since we've seen you. Hope you can make it back soon.

Address Please

Hey guys; I would like to attend the races if only to watch if my schedule allows. Could you please give the street address of the track/building; or what road it is located on so i can punch up some directions off the net.

Thanks for the help

Not sure of the address but this should get you close. It is on this street...Follow the directions and then look for a big Mushroom Farm...If you get lost just ask...There aren't to many Mushroom Farms out there... :shk

hey guys i was talking with my boss yesterday about sponsorship for the event and we've got some good stuff planned. hopefully things that we've given in the past and then another big prize that i'll keep my lips sealed about until that part of it is finalized - all i can say is that if you come, and you win this, you're gonna need a little more room in your vehicle . . .

Nick, that doesn't look promising...

There might be a bridge in the works if I can figure out something. Expanded steel is like $140 for a 4x8' sheet, so I highly doubt it will be made of that. I have a couple other ideas, so we'll see how it goes...

Well guys, with less than a week and a half until WMB6, I am surprised there is not more traffic on this thread. Being on the "other side" of the event more than ever this year, I am starting to see how it becomes a major event in the track's life, not just the racer's. I am hoping and praying for a good turnout this time around. It looks like we have some nice sponsors lined up and I know the course is going to be interesting, especially if I manage to build my first choice layout. I have been both fixing up my trucks and ready-ing the track for everyone...

These events have been going strong through the track's 8+ year history. They have been a constant through 2 different locations as the track moved and through a few different people running the track. The monster trucks have been a lifesaver for the track on a few occasions and us monster truckers are the ones that can be counted on weekly as well. In the oval racing world, this has earned the track a reputation of catering to the trucks, although the weekly nascar racers know otherwise! LOL!

In light of all this I am asking everyone that has even thought about coming to one of these events to try and make this one. So far the track has been breaking even this race season, but a bad month would spell doom. It's that close. I have vowed to do my best to keep the place open as long as I can, but if the place can't at least make enough for rent, I wont be able to continue. So please, everybody, do what you can to make it to what is one of the most fun events ever specifically for r/c monster trucks! I know you'll have fun, meet new friends and maybe even win a trophy, so what have you got to lose?

Let's hear some news about new toys from christmas or some secret squirrels being prepped for the event! Anyone have any squirrels they care to share with the rest of the class? LOL!

I will have some new stuff there but nothing "secret" LOL!!!! I am working on a *major* secret squirrel but it will not be ready in time for WMB6.

Right now my biggest concern is just getting everything ready in time to come and race.

***Major announcment!!!***

John Peoples from A.B. Charles Hobby Shop has stepped up and hooked us up with not one, but TWO awesome raffle prizes for the event.

One prize is an HPI 4x4 Wheely King!

Another prize is an Axial Scorpion!

There may also be some other door prizes added as well, but I don't have specifics on that yet. I just wanted to share the information on the raffle trucks as these are both really cool prizes. The tickets will be very reasonable, too. This is definately confirmed, too, as I have both trucks right now!

Thanks to A.B. Charles and John Peoples for such an incredible gesture!
