that looks like an awesome frame my man. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm a BIG fan of the Willman chassis and have been since it came out in the VERY late 80's with Taurus 3. Also, what kind of tubing is that? Brass?

The original taurus truck was still in competition up until just a few months ago. The current owner has built a new chassis and has the original taurus chassis is for sale. Last name it was run under was Storm Damage.

Hey a bit more info about the willman chassis. Owner of taurus (I think it was Willman) used to be half owner of Bear Foot. Fred Shafer and Willman (i swear thats him) could NOT come to an agreement on the future of Bearfoot and the trucks name itself. I heard rumors back in the day (I was a kid so I don't know the details) that after Willman split from Bear Foot and started Taurus, They had gotten back together and started to design a new chassis together. Once again they couldn't agree and split up to go there own ways.

Freds version of the chassis (Bear Foot 10 or the Bear Foot racer) would go on to win the championship....If you look at the two chassis they are nearly identical. Only REALLY obvious difference is the way Fred has a standard four link on the rear, but flipped it backwards (see thread "my first monster truck" on this board). The links actually come from the front of the truck to the axle instead of from the cradle. VERY innovative design...both of them were. I just thought it would be a fun bit of information to pass along....have fun with your build man!! Sweet looking rebuild on your facebook. I'm currently involved in the design process with RWR Motosports in the Virginia Beach Beast restoration...

Hey Derek, what photos are you going off of for the chassis? I've always wanted to build a taurus replica , and you've totally inspired me. I've drawn out the cradle so far but having trouble with the upper cage. You said somethin about a website, could you post a link for me?

Thnx so much!
