Will A Savage Radio Shift Between 2 Gears?

I was cleaning my Savage radio and noticed it was 3 channel Tx and 4 channel Rx! So I was wondering of the reverse switch on channel 3 would work to shift a High Lift between 2 gears without doing mods to the Tx?

Should work, the only thing is it will be a full throw so you would have first and third. I don't see any reason why you couldn't modify it similar to the TQ3 mod, but it would still work for the savage just skip the 2nd gear position and use full throw of the switch, that is if you change your mind on modding it.

depending on horn length you could have it 1, &2 or 2 &3

short horns will make it use close gears, long horn would do farther apart gears

Hey Kenny,

I've got an HPI TX (missing the wheel grip rubber) laying around, if you want to pay postage for the radio you could try the TQ3 mod and see if you can get all three gears.

I did the same mod on the HPI 3ch TX thats done the on the TQ3's... it works fine...
