Why is is so hard to find a MAX D body?

Grave Digger bodies are everywhere, and anyone who is a fan MT's knows Maximum Destruction is just as popular as GD.
Seems like there would be a case for parma or someone to make them again.


At any rate, I'm surprised someone hasn't vacuumed formed an old body or made a mold out of one and started popping them out. I'm sure they would make some nice $$$

But you can't advertise selling a parma based body, and sell it as your own, as it was their design, and I am sure that is a copyright infringment.
They still make the Digger body, so they will always "seem" popular, since you can't buy any other one.
And Parma is finiky lately about doing anything related to monster trucks.
They talk a good talk, but nothing has come from it yet.

Frankly, the LAST thing you should do is to copy that Parma body. It looks terrible compared to the 1:1 truck. If you want to order 25+ of a single body, Parma has said they will remake bodies if they still have the molds.

If someone went and copied the 1:1 Max-D body better, you'd sell a bunch of them.

Just like you can't go out and sell a Ford or Chevy, ect. body without aproval, if you reproduced the Max D. body to sell, you still would have to get rights and maybe even pay royalties from/to: Pace Motorsports (no wait) Clear Channel (no wait) Live Nation (no wait) Feld Entertainment Inc. ( or what ever they call them selves tomorrow) :willy

expanding on what Brett said - the Goldberg/Team Meents body that Parma did is the same case as the Hot Wheels vehicles - they are based off of the original concept drawings for Goldberg and not what the actual truck ended up being, which is frustrating for a lot of monster truck collectors because there isn't a real good accurate option for that body in any scale other than the wendy's happy meal toys.

parma would make a killing if they sold the mt truck bodys.. think to even te usa 1 body.. that would garner some interest aswell..
