Whats the deal with Tamiya ESC's?

I ordered them from RCChamp, looks like they raped me. Tamiya's website states that both of those kits should have esc's.

I sent them an email.. We'll see what they say. I hope they send me some, because I know theyre not the greatest ESC's but I'm planning to keep those two pretty stock, and buying 2 more ESC will still be kinda pricey...

my re-issue brat came with the esc, and so did my buddies.
Maybe it's a regeonal thing?
Dagger clones clods and high lifts don't come with the esc's, but most everything else currently offered does.

This is true. On ebay, some tamiya kits of the same model have ESCs on other sellers and some doesn't come with ESCs on other sellers. But usually, the one without ESCs are cheaper by around $10, lol.
I bought one kit from RCchamp before and it too doesn't come with ESC.
