Ok gang,

What would it take to build something like this?

Beside money, skill and money:rof I think I can handle the body because I've got a Clod body sitting in my shed, it's the chassis that has me a little worried:bang I know I can get a chassis from Hooter Chassis but could it be built from scratch also what does one of chassis cost from them?

Thanks for any help......Tom

If you are good at building it could be made out of alum square tube some flanged bearings ,gears and 1/4 and 3/8 steel rod .You could also use flat alum stock for the chassie the rule book gives you all the mesurments as guide lines But most arn't into a build more just assemble it charge it run it........

Sure it can be built from scratch.
It involves a little more planning when you build a chasis around a body.
The chasis was built by Jake Haulman.
He used 1" sq tube aluminum for the chassis.
Center of the chassis was cut out for placement of the #25 chain and sprockets.
The motor is placed in the center of the chassis so it would be in the cab area of the body to allow for room.
The rear axle is 1/4" with flat spots cut were needed.
Rear tires & wheels are wild willie.
Front wheels were scratch built.

Hope this helps.

Come on Al, don't sell out . . . . you need to keep your pullers, so that you can come and play!
