My First Real R/C was a Traxxas Hawk I got for christmas in 1990 or 91. I still have it and I am in the process of finding parts for it. if anyone has any leads on any good places to get parts. Or, any info on what other Traxxas R/C's use the same parts, LMK. I have been looking on ebay but not really anything significant there.

You can try calling Traxxas directly. Ebay has mostly Nitro hawk parts. There is a complete mint Traxxas Bullet chassis up for grabs that I saw on there though.

Sadly, the company founder recently passed away and the word going around is that Kyosho is going belly-up.

@ Arco Thanks, I'll check about that Bullet too, and see if I can use it. I have most of the hawk. I'm just missing the right side gearbox cover, some of the internals and a few misc parts. I also heard that the Slegehammer has alot of the same parts but I'd hate to rip apart a running truck to get the parts I need....now back to your regularly scheduled thread

My first RC car in '88 was the Futaba FX 10

I then had a gold tub pre stealth tranny RC 10 buggy in '88 that I raced for a couple of years.
I then had an original Clod Buster with the Chevy logos on her.

the tamiya fighter buggy, might not be as vintage as some, but it was a fun fun thing to play with when you were 12.

My dad has an original Tamiya Fox and Tamiya Blackfoot from way back. I remember using them as a kid. That's what got me going in R/C.
