What tires are you using on your Clod? I wanted the Pullers because of the weight, but WOW, everyone is out!! Wouldn't you know, usually find them everywhere, but I decided to build another Clod, Bam, out!

I like the Baja's also, but they wear quick! This is gonna be a Racer, so no crawling, so what else is lightweight, looks good? I might mod my stockers sometime, but want to put this thing together now without taking 3 nights modding tires right now! :ack

Anyone got some Pullers? :wish

Keep an eye toward e-bay, tires are always popping up on there. If nothing else, try some USA-1 tires if you can find some. They are lighter in stock form than stock Clod tires.

What type of surface will you be racing on?

I'll mainly be racing, bashing on pavement! yeah I've been looking for the USA-1's, but no luck so far. I do like the Imex Baja's, but they do wear quick on pavement and gravel.

In my experience baja's wear far more consistently on pavement than pullers do. The edges of the lugs on pullers seem to get totally torn up while the smoother overall tread layout of the baja allows it to have a much more consistent wear pattern.


I would stick with baja's for pavement.
