What do I call this monster?

A jumbo TXT XL Bullhead?

The "small" truck is a fairly stock TXT (not a TLT!) The new truck ended up being huge! Definitely could break a knee cap or a shinbone depending on how tall you are... A little more wiring and running through the set-up procedures for the electronics and it will be ready for it's maiden voyage.

That thing is freaken huge!!! :drool:drool:drool

Is that the rear drive shaft that I see pointing straight up? The tire look like over size Juggies.

You really need to get some video's of this thing runnin:tmb

Edit: Just notice in the first picture the d-shaft is not hooked up yet.

wow! those are the rc4wd Demolishers, huh?
i think they named them that because they will demolish your driveline!
:willy
i do look forward to a vid, though.

Yes, RC4WD Demolishers... I beefed it up best I could... all bearings, RC4WD spool and axles, Punisher driveshafts (yes, the one is not hooked up yet...) Inet hubs/knuckles, Emaxx tranny with unlimited engineering idlers, Robinsion Racing dual disc slipper.. I hope it all holds! It's running two Feigao 9turn XL brushless motors on Castle Mamba Max Pros with two 5000mah 2S 35C lipos... Still have some stuff to attach as far as body components also. The shocks are HPI Baja fronts with piggyback reservoirs on them to give you an idea how huge the tires are... the suspension is surprisingly soft with them, I may need to stiffen it up after a trial run.

Just wired it monday night. I will probably mess with setting the voltages and cut-offs on the BEC and ESC tonight. All that's left will be programming the ESC's, hooking up the motors, and installing pinions. May get the trial run in this weekend (with vids ;) ) depending on how rainy it is in Southern Michigan.

almost need a 1/5 scale body on there !

HUGE is being conservative lol definitely get some video of that beast in action ! :tmb

A bigger body would be nice...I was able to get it running very shortly today. ESC programming went well, but I couldn't get the bec to link up, so I am just using it at the preprogrammed voltage. It is fairly fast with an 11 tooth pinion and an 84 tooth spur. I managed to break two upper links and the lower bumper guards... New aluminum replacements will be ordered soon. The suspension is very soft, but no tipping over. Was surprised at the stability...

Pretty so so thus far...steering is screwed and I need stronger links and/or shocks with the addition of heavy duty sway bars to help control the twist...just not right and it only goes left. Lots more work to be done... :-(

I think some stiffer shock spring would help with the twist. Other then that it seems to run pretty good:tmb

I was just thinking, you could call it Goliath.
I remember the old Knight Rider tv show, and the truck that went up against Kitt was called Goliath, this truck reminds me of it.

That would be an easy and inexpensive fix. Gonna get some ordered and give it a go. When i put the aluminum axle guards on, I put shorter rear links to help keep the pinion angle positive. It might be part of the problem because it didn't do that with the longer links. I have plenty of spares if needed. BTW, this already blew a set of RC4WD axle shafts....they were just spinning in their spool. I thought I put it together incorrectly.

man now that is some crazy tq twist :shk

with the weight of the truck im sure a lot of things are going to be breaking in the drive line
