I have finally decided to convert my Highlift to a 4-link suspension. Since I installed the JunFac chassis I didn't want to cut or drill into so I left it as it was. Not to long ago I saw they had a 4 link conversion kit and I knew thats what I needed. So I'll post some :pics of me installing the kit. Enjoy.

This is how it arrived new in the package. Still can't believe how fast they shipped it out. Four days from Korea that was fast.

First I disassembled the truck.

I then had to mod the servo mount to hold two servos. It was a tight fit, but a little grinding and some new holes.

Good fit.

front axle

Back side of front axle.

Back axle.

Side plates and links.

New shocks.
I'd show :pics of the truck complete, but my wife took my camers to Lousiana for our newphews graduation. So when she gets back I shoot some more and post them.

Hey I hate to tell you but if you run the steering like they say you'll have nasty bumper steer:bang

I bought this kit before they had released the axle mounted servo kit and I could not get the bump steer out, so I bought the servo kit.

Here's mine as it sits today. I got my body and other parts in last Friday before I went to work:willy

Oops thats not how it sits today, I'm at work and I forgot to upload my new pictures:bang

I'll get some up for yeah tomorrow.

Btw looks good so far.....Tom

seeing the pics, I do believe you just helped me make up my mind on whether or not to order this. Not to mention how fast you got it. I have been waiting for the thunder tech kit but I am tired of waiting.

I'm not sure what happened, I was shocked with how fast they shipped. Last time it took several weeks. Guess I got lucky.

Okay I have more :pics First off I did not like the angle of the steering link so I lowered the servo with some custom spacers, I also angled the servo forward just slightly hopping it will help. Once I run it I'll see if that helped at all.

its not that you need to resize; you need to use the right code

you had this typed*:

you needed to type this*:

**note: i stuck a < in front of the url instead of [ to break the code.
when you do it, use [ like youre supposed to.

No the body isn't bolted into place, I need to reroute the wires for the lights so the body will sit in place. I just put there for the :pics
Thanks for all the great comments and the help.

That thing looks great:tmb:tmb:tmb

I was planning on using CR01 wheels until I got to liking my 1.9 Crushers on mine:) I'm in the painting stage now so I'll be starting a thread sometime next week once the paint drys.

Has your mod to the steering servo fixed the bump steer?? If so I'll have to try it becasu I'd rather loose the axle mounted servo for a more scale look:drool

Get some action shot :pics

I had 1.9 Rock stompers on it, but just look to small and I did't want to use the chromes rims and Moabs I have on my slash, so these are on there untill I decide what I'm going to use, or I get around to building my Wrangler. As far as the bump steer I'm not sure, but I'll fing out this weekend when I take it up North. I haven't run it yet

Here are some :pics from my adventures on the rocks at Bewabic State Park in Cystal Falls Michigan. I would have had some video, but two things happen about the same time to prevent it. First my wife, yes I'm going to blame her, started to video my truck in action and some how paused the video before it really got going. And well the second part was mt fault, no thread lock on the set screw and the rear drive shaft fell off, and I didn't bring the right allen wrench to fix it. As far as the bump steer this truck steers pretty straight, it just doesn't turn real tight. I do however have spools in both diffs.

That thing looks awesome. Other than lowering the steering servo, what other snags did you run into?
None really, I had to move the battery and I may move it again. I really don't like how it shifts the gears, but it does work. I may change how the servos sit in there, but for now it drives pretty good.
