USA1 Nitro Crusher

This was my first nitro truck I ever had, got it in about 1990 or so, did alot of running with it, parts became scarce and hard to locate so it got parked for a few years, now there seems to be some stuff available on e bay and other sources so it recently got a rebuild and nu body done for it....
this thing is a beast, I use a 1/4 scale tower hobbies servo to make it steer and now it can steer and run with the best of em, is a real ball to play with, I did a few mods to make the servo work better and also made up a rear chassis brace that will not allow flex to mess up the gear mesh after a hard landing like used to happen, it is currently running an Ofna 4 port .21 engine. I made up a 5 cell receiver battery for it so that big servo gets enuff juice to work good. all in all this truck is a blast to run , is fast and loud, just the way I like it LOL enjoy the pics.....

this is before I did the rebuild on it....http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll211/JamRacing1/USA1NitroCrusher002.jpg

That's pretty cool. Its funny how the monster truck suspension's have not really changed. If you get a chance get a set of 40 series trenchers. The would look awesome on there. And a newer muffler could really help the engine.

Well i kinda dig the vintage pipe and it sounds awesome too. I have a vid of it and will post it soon, that old pipe is a hard ano'ed paris al650 pipe so I doubt I will be changing it... I will check out the tires and see . thanks for the comments....:tmb

From your pics the pipe kind of throws the look off. Maybe mounting it more inline with the chassis might help.

sorry I just don't follow what you are getting at, the pipe is made to fit where it is, maybe if you can be more specific as to what ya mean? the pipe is directly inline with the manifold off the engine.... and rests in the cradle made to hold it

Its the fourth link you have in the first post. The picture with the above view is right but the side view has the pipe hanging out the side. Maybe you took the picture while the pipe was not quite in place.

:laugh:laugh I see what ya are sayin, it is just that pipe is very round at the end there and looks like it is hangin out way far. i think it is just the way the pic was taken. still I love the sound and the way it makes the power come on real fast....

At least were on the same page. That pic makes it look strange. I don't know if axial makes them in a 40 series but some wicked retro wheels would look sweet with that body.
