Sold my ROM winning juggy because I needed cash for a new tv.
Christopher P. over in the UK bought it. (not a member here I'm pretty sure)

Anyway, woke this AM to find a paypal claim against me for ***.xx bucks. He's trying to say I never shipped and put a unauthorized payment on his CC.

Well those that have dealt with me know I usually take a pic of the postal receipt and send it to the buyer. I did, and also took a picture of the customs paper.

So I sent these along to paypal, and even had them faxed to PP just in case. Low and behold the guy actually accepted the package, and THEN put in the claim. :mad

I called PP to verify and was told it looks good for me. See by accepting the package he can't claim I never shipped otherwise it couldn't be marked as delivered. :)

So ladies and germs even though it's still being ''reviewed'' this goes to prove you can never be too safe, take a moment and snap pictures or scan that paperwork you never know when or if you will need it.

It never ceases to amaze me how low some people can be............glad you got your bases covered Bill.

A few months ago I started using the eBay/paypal shipping label system so they would have records of my shipments in case something happened. It has made life a lot easier and a little cheaper too.

Where did the guy find out about your truck Bill? FB?

I dont ship over seas on ebay sales anymore for that reason and also the pricing is way out of hand on small things anymore.

I just went through this with an r/c boat I sold. The kid received the boat thanked me and said it was perfect. Exactly one month later there's a claim for selling a boat for parts as a used item. Thankfully I saved all our texts. I also took pics of the boat being packed in the original box before I shipped it and I put insurance on the shipment. The boat didn't even have a full pack run through it before I sold it. He wrecked it and wanted his money back. Paypal sided with me after a week of BS. Always document when you deal with people you don't know

He saw it listed elsewhere and then contacted me via email.

Normally I resist overseas shipping, but this guy via the emails seemed like a good hobbiest, guess you can never be sure

I've had to provide sellers with vouches for shipping to Canada for me being a good buyer. I understand 100% but its pretty sad that its what its come to.

Sorry to hear about the rigmarole you went through Bill, It blow's when people like this try to give genuine honest hobbyists the shaft.
I had a similar incident where a punk from the UK lied about shipping me a Juggernaut, and me not realising he had sold it twice on Ebay before me, and twice after I had bought it.
I've kept emails and and photo's before, but I will certainly take a leaf from your book Bill and make sure EVERYTHING is copied and accounted for in future.

It's saddening how stories like this make some of you guys not want to ship abroad, because there is some really genuine people like me on the other side of the world
that are willing to pay good money for great products out of the US :(

Glad to hear it got sorted!
