TXT Ripper Build

Hey guys. A month or so ago the plan was to build a clod ripper...however a few things have changed.

I got a great deal on a TXT Ripper Chassis by TTR, and I just scored a mint TXT on ebay a week ago for under $200.

My plans are to use the new truck I just got for the axles and trans in the ripper.

Once I have everything set up I will go w/ Mamba Max BL Power.
Thinking either 6900 or 7700.

I am waiting on TTR to get off back order the swaybar kit for this truck as it is missing.

I will keep you guys posted on the progress, I will get some pictures tonight of my new ebay find and the Ripper Chassis.

This will give me something to build over the winter.

Here are some pictures:

This is the TTR Ripper Chassis I got from a member on here.

Then I got a great deal on a TXT from Ebay...not bad for $183.00

And here is the new TXT next to my current one:

Plans are take the trans and axles off the new TXT I got and install them on the Ripper chassis.

More pictures/updates as when i start the project. Most likely after the holidays.

Looks like a great project!

I had a Ripper TXT and it was a mean looking truck. Never ran it though. Haha

Let me know how it runs with a single MM BL setup. I was thinking of using a Novak 5800 in my latest solid axle rig...

Let me know know how it runs with that setup. I curious to see how those higher KV motors run in a relatively heavy truck.

I came really close to bidding against you on that TXT :laugh
I missed out on it the first time when it was suppose to be sold for $207, got lucky this time around. Its very clean, have yet to do anything w/ it.
Going to pull the trans and axles apart to see if there are bearings or bushings in them. I forgot how clean and shinny a new TXT looked.

I will keep you posted, it will probably not run until springtime...winter is here, no place indoors to run up in Northern, VT...so it gives me plenty of time to build it up.

After doing more reading on BL power and options...I need advice from those out there running.

I think a 6900KV or 7700KV mamba max pro will be too much for bashing, I do not want it to overheat.

Would I be better off w/ a 4600 or the 5700?
Right now, I have no race clubs/tracks in my area, so it will be just me.
When time allows I would like to go to NY and race.

Your thoughts?
