FYI to all needing TXT replacement parts. Towerhobbies has axle housings, gears, and a variety of other parts now available.

TXT wheels have been up on eBay too and axle parts!

Does anyone here know if Clod stub axles work on TXT axles? I know the TXT stub axles are longer so if I used the Clod's, does that mean I'd have to use Clod hubs.

As far as the Clod/TXT outer axles, there's no problem using a Clod axle but you'll need to use a Cod hub as well. Clod axles are about a 1/4" shorter than a TXT. Thanks!

Thanks! Exactly what I needed.

What's everyone's opinion about stock drive shafts?

I run clod knuckles and hubs on most of my txt's. They work just fine. The stock drive shafts are pretty strong. They get a little slack in them after a while. I have ran maxx, revo and about any other shaft out there. My favorite is the mip shafts.

Is that a 1/4" shorter total (1/8" each side) or 1/4" shorter each side?

I'm basically trying to figure out if wideners would be needed if running TXT stub axles and hubs.

Thanks for the input. If I'm spending money I want to make sure it's on something that will last. Got any p/n's for the MIP shafts?

Can txt axle parts be purchased and pieced together to make axles?

Yes they can. I'm doing that right now. The only thing I need are the drive gears. You can get parts through Towerhobbies, Jason's store(eBay), and by searching TXT-1,-2, & Juggernaut on eBay.

I've actually had very good luck getting parts. No problem at all.

HawnMT is also selling complete axles for a good price!

Thanks guys. Off the top of your heads about what would I pay to put 2 axles together by piecing?
You're not going to like the answer, I promise you. Ballpark, around $200 retail, and that is if you can even find all the parts. You still would be looking at dealing with multiple sources since no one place carries all the parts. That's why if you're building a runner you might as well just buy used.

Here's a look at the TXT parts Tower has available.

For just the axle housings, knuckles, axle shafts, stub shaft, brass hexes, and internal diff gears it's ~$120. You still have to get 4 of the special 6X11 bearings($6 a pair at Tower), upper gears and shafts, screw bag G for the TXT input shafts, the drive gear(no place sells it), and diff housings(only place is Tamiya and that IF they have it available), wheel adapters, and all the clips, shims, screws, and regular bearings.

I'll have to tally it up tonight when I get home. I bought 90% of the parts from Jason's store, and only a few parts from Tamiya USA.

I didn't even realize Towerhobbies had any parts until after I bought all of mine.

Will the TXT 2 parts work for the gears sets?? I am looking at the part listing and see RC Gear Bag and RC C parts.
