TxT and EZRun brushless..

Well guys, I'm on the verge of getting a lot of stuff in for my clod, but I was looking at my TXT and thinking... "besides batteries, this thing needs a motor system.."

I keep hearing good things about the EZRun brushless systems and wanted to see what you guys thought. I got a bit more money in paypal and I'm thinking of picking one up, but which do you guys think I need?

Stock chassis with lots of alum. upgrades, but will (shortly later on) have a custom chassis, may go scalish or just racer chassis, I have emaxx trans and brackets and would like to use 1 2s lipo for power. What do you recommend? Would still like some wheelie power, but mainly dependability, durability and ez runability. Make sense? Maybe.

Thanks,

Dewayne

The EZrun esc I'd go for is the 80 amp unit or the 150 amp unit if I had extra cash. A 60a might do it, but if it has a lot of aluminum and is heavy the 80a is better.

I have both a 60, and 80 and like the 80 better myself anyway.

I also think I'd opt for the 4000kv motor from www.hobbycity.com that has a 5mm shaft. A bigger shaft won't fail and as heavy as your truck is...

Does that motor come with an ESC? Or which one will run that motor?

I plan on lightly bashing the txt until I get the new chassis and make this thing lighter. But then again, if I go scale with it, it'll get the weight back :(

Go with the 150 ESC then and buy that motor. They are sold SEPERATE.

I have that motor and a mamba max in a 1/8th scale SC truck and it flies, never gets hot. Good torque motor good for over 12 volts if you ever want serious speed. Running 7.2 that motor has plenty of torque and speed in a 8 pound rig.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'll probly end up going that route. Lots of folks talking those things up. Right now, I think I need to get my drill press, sander and band saws bought and in the shop.

Probly line that stuff up after getting my tools finished out.
