I have searched around and I can not decide what steering /servo mount setup to get for my txt2.
I am thinking of the extreme racing kit but I question how well it works with the tie rod angles it has.
Any feedback on kits out there is appreciated.

I have a 4ws setup using extreme and have no clue what you mean by tie rod angles.

Mine are setup straight and no different then a clods would look.

Rocpede4x4 yours is on *** backwards in that pic btw!!

Used extreme racing servo mounts on my Grim Reaper truck am not a big fan of them. Best in the business for TXT-1/2 is servo mounts made by ebay seller sicnmeproducts which combine servo/ bottom links/ and suspension mounting all in one design.

Sadly I cannot post photos anymore as the option to upload photos directly from your hard drive has disappeared. You can see photos of sicnmeproducts servo mounts in my Kings Bounty/ Gauntlet build threads on here.

I had not seen a pic of the sicneme products servo mounts on a truck prior to you pointing me to your thread. I really like the how the servo is positioned so the drag link angle is very straight. I will be ordering a set tonight ! I am assuming you just made your steering links from tubing?

Looks nice but the chassis clearance may be a issue with some custom build's and limit the suspension travel so it dont smack on the chassis.

Very cool indeed glad I could help! :) yes steering links are a bit random bottom links are CPE TXT-1 stock steering links (I think from memory) and the top links stock chassis bracing off a TXT-2! I removed black paint with oven cleaner.

I tried to use the Xtreme mounts for a bta setup on my TXT but couldnt get the linkage worked out very well. Went with the Agressor kit from Thundertech Racing. Well thought out kit but I found the linits of the flat carbon fiber tie rod pretty quick. Working out a drag link style setup with the Thundertech mount now.

Sorry, I didn't see this thread earlier. I used the Xtreme Racing kit on my Agrios, along with their rear lockout kit. This is how I did mine and it works perfectly.

I just finished putting my kit together, using 2 of the Extreme kits, to get 4ws, but I'm having an issue with both servos turning the same direction. So instead of the truck turning, it dog-walks.:conf

In order for the 4WS to work properly you either need a radio that supports channel mixing or a reversing Y harness. The Xtreme mounts look great, but unfortunately you can only use the weak stock steering links. Not sure how you use the truck or what kind of power it has, but when I used those mounts I was bending drag links left and right. Ended up making my own mounts so I could use 4mm rods for the steering/drag links.

I was reading on another forum earlier, & I think I may need the reversing wire-thing. I took a few pics of my setup. I have the front servo in CH1, the rear in the second CH1. ECS plugs into CH2.

I'm not familiar with that Traxxas setup (have never seen two CH1), but try the rear servo in CH3. That way if you can reverse CH3 on the radio you're good to go. That would be the best way.

If you end up needing a harness, I use these all the time:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXUPJ4K/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

You can just cut and flip the wires going to the rear servo to make it a reversing harness. I would definitely look into reversing your current CH3 though, could be very simple.

Would it just be as simple as switching the negative & the signal (black & white) wires, to make it reverse? I haven't tried it yet, as I didn't think it would work.

It won't because you would be reversing the polarity to the electronics inside the servo too.

As Hawn said, don't do that. I was asking if the radio had a reverse function for CH3. Some do and some don't, depends on the individual radio.
