Twin Dominator - Clodbuster wheel adaptation

Just bought a brand new Twin Dominator and i also have a set of original Clod Buster wheels and tires and as crazy as the thought is, would it be possible to use them on this truck... if so, what adaptors would get the job done?

Well knowing theres newer wheels and tires i could use instead that are more readily available w/o adaptation, but i just wanted things to be alittle different, its only temporary anyways, i plan on using the original TD wheels and tires till they break.

Ps- I have already adapted the CB wheels and tires to my vintage blackfoot truck and they look awesome, i wouldnt mind doing the same for my TD.

Thanks

Good luck, its gonna break every part on that truck more than likely LOL
I'm gonna second that one. I was breaking parts left and right with Wheely King tires and 17T Venom motors; susspension arms, shocks, dogbones, CVDs, etc. I beefed up what I could and went back down to Tamiya black can Sport Tuned motors(22T). The Wild Dagger/Twin Detonator series was never designed to run tires that large or handle powerful setups. Although the gears in the transmissions are tough.

Bummer, so you even had problems with WK tires breaking things?
I was going to get a set when my stockers wore out. So your saying save your money?

Yea I wouldn't, it looks cool when you stretch the dagger with an aftermarket chassis. However, tamiya doesn't make a dog bone strong enough that will keep from blowing up under the load of the clod tires. I'm sure you could try adapting something else but it'll require a bit of designing and fabbing on your end. There's no such thing as impossible though...

Thanks for the heads up, again, its only temporary just to see how it'll look and run... then its back to the original TD wheels and tires.

Oh yes, those are excellent tires... for my next project.

Unfortunately i gave up my twin detonator, i no longer have it, sold it off still brand new in the box untouched.
