I use a HPI Plazma battery on the TXT-1 - 3S, 3300mAh 30C. It's not the beefiest output but it does the job hooked to my XERun 2250kV. No cogging and no bad behaviour.
The important thing is it's a hard-case battery, I flat-out refuse to run soft cell LiPos in a truck that weights 12lbs and has lots of metal bits. If it rolled and punctured one of the cells I'd probably end up scraping the results into a garbage bag.:willy
It was *not* cheap but I know I can give HPI UK grief if it fails. I like warranties that are at least half-worth something even if it is with HPI
