Torque Twist

What are the key points in eliminating as much torque twist as possible.
Can anybody suggest spring combinations, shock oil weights, and stabilizer bar suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Stiffer shocks in the rear, maybe swapping the battery to the front of the chassis. Torque twist is an inherent element of shaft drive vehicles, regardless of scale. The stock sway bays on a TXT (I presume we are talking about a TXT) do an okay job, but swapping to a stiffer sway bar such as CPE's http://www.crawfordperformanceengineering.com/index.php?cPath=10 and adapting it to the TXT

Or

New Era's Torsion setup $$$ http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi?session_id=&part_id=390 will help reduce torque twist.

Removing the cantilever suspension and going with vertically mounted shocks will reduce it as well. I'm a fan of torque twist, it looks cool plus kids love it. I can 3 wheel my TXT with 2 Tamiya Sport Tuned motors and Tamiya's TEU-103 ESC in circles until the battery drains. I have never experimented with varying shock oils; after running the truck with the stock plastic dampers, I replaced them with threaded aluminum body units. I then increased the tension on the rear springs and eliminated quite a bit of twist, but later backed it off only for my personal preference.

When mounting swaybars, does it make any difference if the bar is located below or on top of the links? I'm using the Tamiya stock bottom links.

i've never seen a difference on the mounting top or bottom , i do use a heavy zip tie though small ones snap off

and also the father the zip tie is toward the trans the stiffer it will be

When I ran a TXT with Monster MAXX wild motors...the torque twist was HORRIBLE!! I simply made limiter straps with yellow speaker wire. Tying them from the frame to the ummmm...servo mounts I think? It's been a while. Anyway...find a spot on the axle to tie to. This solved my problem completely and didnt cost a thing. Dont forget to leave a little slack in the though (not much but a bit is needed)

1. Vertical shocks make a huge difference
2. Don't bother with the new era sway bars. They're useless and over-priced.

get all the weight as low as possible and limit the suspension. Are you running the stock tranny? try flipping it upside down. It will bring the COG down alot.
