The Ultimate Scale Monster Truck Rim

We just got these made. Our goal was make it as scale as possible.

This wheel is designed to fit clod, super bully axles and clod tires.

You can also see this wheel in person at the World Monster Truck and Pulling on October 9 in Ohio.

that's a lot of screws! I hope you guys got better at tapping the holes since my last set
There are several of these that a fuax. Yes...we have improved a great deal on out QA.

Can't wait to see them in person. Any thoughts of offering a plastic version?
I will have them there for all to see. We can make a plastic version. We need to see how sales are first. Making a mould is very expensive.

This will be released soon.

Love these just hope they aren't to expensive. Only need around 10 sets lol. Would rather have plastic to save weight.

Guys, Please understand that it would take 500-1000 sets of wheels or more to invest in a mould for these. I really don't think there is that much interest out there.
With aluminum we can make 1 set or 1000 sets. No extra cost.

I do hope you guys understand. We are trying to make parts for MT guys. We just need you to understand we can't make everything you guys want, the way you want it. Slowly if sales are there, we can make more items.

They sure look nice!
Racer4Life, I know molds are pretty expensive. Just an idea, but isn't it possible to machine them out of delrin or nylon stock?

I didn't mean to stir up a bee's hive, I was just wondering if a non-aluminum version could be offered. I understand a mold would be expensive. Just like Tom mentioned any chance of machining them out of delrin or nylon?

Question how is you Rock Ripper 2.2 Clear Plastic Wheels [BL51] made? Molded or Machined? Would this material be strong for a MT?

With the clear plastic we could always paint the backside of the rims for that custom look.

Back to the rims on this thread, how much do they weigh?

Again they look great and I can't wait to see them in person.

Those look very nice. While I may not want for every one of my clods there are a few trucks I would like to put them on.

I guess there is a chance. Black or Clear/white are really the only two Delrin colors. So what would you guys want? Black, or White. White should be somewhat dieable. (not sure how good, as I have not tried myself)

The Clear Plastic wheels are made from a mould, and are good for crawlers. The material can be strong for what we want it to be, its just up to the way its designed.

I just wanted to jump on here and say thanks to RCW4D for the renewed interest in the MT scene! I was on my way out of the hobby again because I was disenchanted with the TMaxx scene but then found this sight and I caught the bug again bigtime! Now I own a full up race clod and am working feverishly on a scale tube frame truck and it is exciting to see what appears to be a momentum picking back up for the solid axle MT venue!

Honestly I've never been a big fan of beadlock wheels and still ain't. Since the time of beadlock wheels for the R/C world it seems as if manufactures forgot about regular traditional style wheels. I know if the wheels were made to have a simulated rivet ring & the scale center hub in the middle that would have done the trick in being one really nice wheel in the right proportion. The problem with beadlock wheels is the fact that not all tires have enough sidewall to be scale with the beads and rings, causing the look of beadlock wheels to not always be scale in the fact of everything looking to the right proportions. This has always been my reasons for not liking beadlock wheels from day one but this wheel is almost spot on to a real MT wheel that I'd like to see it on a stock Clod tire.

IMO I would still prefer a simulater rivet/beadlock type wheel it'd have a better realistic 1:1 look and be more in the right proportions. But again this is just me. Material wise doesn't matter too much for me as I'm not heavy into racing. So for me if it looks good and it works the way it should then I'm all for it.
