Well guys the missile txt is finally complete, well atleast for now :tong.

  • Traxxas VXL esc, Castle 6900 motor w/15 tooth pinion
  • Custom BTA Steering setup
  • Hitec 625MG servo
  • Rear Steer Lockout
  • Custom Top Mount Braces
  • Top Mounts use 6-32 threaded studs. When I first got the mounts I striped one out :bang. So I had a ton 6-32 studs laying around so I stuck some of them in the mounts. I had the drill my rod ends out to fit on the stud. So far they work great.
  • Revo Rear, Maxx Front Driveshafts
  • Traxxas Shocks
  • CPE Machined Links
  • CPE Missile Chassis

You know, I think this is the first time I've seen that chassis in a ready to race state and I gotta say it looks FANTASTIC!!!! Great job getting it toether.:tmb

Brett really should think about making a production run of those again.

Thanks Kent. I couldnt be any happier with the truck.

I agree 100% with that :tmb I wish he had some more, casue if he did I would buy another one in a second. The chassis works great, just needs a sway bar setup on it.

I forgot to mention that the machined the links had to have 1/2" taken out of each one in order to get the wheelbase down to 12.5"

Would it be possible to use a similar swaybar setup like on the CPE Terminator? That's how I dd mine on my V3.1 chassis and it works smoothly. I wasn't a big fan of it when I first saw it but since it was the only clean way to do it I gave it a shot and now I'm glad I did.

For sure. These chassis were done way before the Terminator (or the machined links for that matter) came out so that setup wasn't an option then.

I still don't feel there are enough TXT's out there to warrant bringing a revised version back. Even when we sold the TXT machined rear steering lockouts, we'd sell 20 clod versions to a single TXT version.

Truck & chassis look great through!

Yes its got the vxl esc on it to. The vxl system works great, even tho its just using a 6 cell pack. The torque and speed are great. Il see what I can do about the videos. Its broke now lol I was racing my buddies revo and when I took off my truck went towards his truck and hit it and broke one of the rear steering blocks :ack

Its unfortunate that txt's are quite as popular as clods. My txt is funner than any of the race clods ive had, including my terminator clod I had.

If you want to get a bit more speed and power out of it, switch up to the Traxxas 7 cell 4200mAH flat pack.

I love it, its got the perfect mix of torque and speed for me. If it was any faster Id be worried I would break it.

Will be waiting for some videos.
Hopefully tomorow I can get a video of it, i got to fix it tonite.

b-nard your bad habit truck looks great, the b&h tires look SWEEET :tmb

toyotaman nice txt i guess ill see it up close this weekend
I cant wait to show it to you

How heavy is that battery compared to the traxxas 6 cell pack? Cause I used my buddies IB 4600 7 cell pack and it was just to heavy for me. The power was great but I want the truck to be as light as possible.

Ooooooh I'm sorry. It just hit me that your truck is a competition truck. I have a 6 cell pack, and I weighed it, in comparison to the 7 cell that I run in my truck now. The 7 cell is approx. 8oz heavier.

No reason to be sorry, a 7 cell pack is a great suggestion. I just like the truck as light as possible. I do appreciate you weighing the batteries and tellin me the difference.

The thought crossed my mind because, I use a Traxxas VXL3s & Velineon motor in my truck, and stepping up to the 7 cell made a huge difference.

yeah, a 2s lipo will get more power and weigh less.

i just charged my 2s packs with my new charger and they balanced out a little higher than 8 volts.

i hear ya. my budget is overdrawn!

once you do go lipo you will love it.
the fact that the vxl accepts both is nice.
at least you wont need to start over with electronics.
