Well I decided to get another clod because I missed the ones I got rid of so much. I ordered two clod axle sets from cpe today and am working on a custom tvp chassis made out 1/4 " aluminum plate. Overkill you say, yes most likely [emoji13]

Well I got my clod axles in the mail today and I have to give a big thanks to Brett at cpe he got my order processed and shipped on the same day I ordered it two days ago and it got here this morning, just amazing. Any way on to the pics.... of the unbuilt axles lol

I'm going to get some pics when I get home tonight. The clod axles literally showed up at my house when I was backing out of the driveway for work lol I just took a quick pic of them before I left

Here's some pics of the chassis it's made using all hand tools and a lathe for the cross members. I still need to cut a battery slot and come up with some kind of electronics mounting tray

I finally made some progress. I built the gear cases up with some cpe upper 4 link mounts, used some leftover camber links from a traxxas bandit to make a rear steering lockout, and painstakingly cut out the battery slot with a 1 1/8th inch hole saw and alot of filing. Here's some pics for you all.

I got the body in that I want to use but it might be a little small for the current wheelbase. What do you all think.

If you cut the wheel wells large I think it would look really cool. IMO leave them more "open" towards the front and back. Kind of like this:

Yeah that would probably work pretty good its sitting at a 12.5" wheelbase right now but I might bring it down to 10.5 I'll get some pics when I d get home

Well I finally got some time to work on the clod. I made an electronics tray finally. I think i should be able to fit the two sidewinder sv3's and my spektrum receiver no problem. Now all I'm waiting for is cpe to have the machined lower 4 links back in stock. Here's two pics of the chassis with the new tray.

What type of battery are you planning on using? From the picture looks like a shorty 2S?

I'm using full size 2s 90c lipos in it. I am hoping that the high c rating will let me run both esc's and motors off of one battery. Here's a pic of the batteries I'm going to run
