kinda doubt I'll see anything before the weekend.
If it wasn't for the 6mm connectors on the motor I'd swap in my ezrun ESC to just drive it. It's rated for 4s and works awesome. I think I'll pick up some 6mm castle connectors and make an adaptor setup to have around.

Man, now I really want to drive it. :willy

Couple things, why not put the lipo inside? Never cared for the boxes hanging off the side. measurement axle to axle? :tmb

You got some inches on me lol 17.5 on mine. So about 4.5 longer nice amount, see how you like it and who knows I might be upgrading again lol :bang

next month I might splurge for the suspension setup. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMJH4&P=Z

I want to see if I can get a better turning radious by grinding a little on the aluminum parts/uprights. Plus locking the rear out with no turnbuckle is a better option IMHO. I don't like the ''front end parts'' on the rear setups many indy trucks use.

Cheaper ways to go then that, make your own lockouts or these which have worked so far for me even tho its integy

hmmmm, integy parts

I might try hellfire plastic ones maybe, isn't a hellfire similar but more truggy like?

Seen folks use parts off it but not sure on those, spend some time on savage central tons and tons of info for you. I can help some but might not use what you want, I can just relay what ive used and had good luck with. Trust you me im not a fan of integy but sometimes you give it a try and with their discount its not a big waste if its crap but so far the adapters and that rear end part have held up well and I abuse this truck, had that on way back when it was a nitro.

well I bought the integy 17mm hubs and can honestly say I am impressed so far. There is even a ''O''-ring in the nut to help it stay locked on.

The Savage XL axles givebthe truck an inch extra width, add the integy hubs for another 1/2 and it brings the overall width 1.5'' over stock.

Also mounted a rear 1/8th bugggy wing

Yea I was impressed as well considering theirs really no 17mm adapters out there for the savage, well a couple I have seen but their in HK. I must be wider since I have the newer maximizer 17mm beadlocks which give 1/2 more. Say LST tires would be a great match in size with that setup of yours :tmb
ESC yet?

What an ESC?
I just get down on the ground and make Pbbbbbbb noises while pushing it.:ack I don't expect a ESC to arrive till later next week. It gives me plenty of time to look at it. :bang :laugh

I also, put the savage XL axle shafts in my flux for more width, but yes you still have those small hex nuts..
But it doesn't turn as sharp anymore....
But is more stable.

Oh my gawd...
Took it out for a quickie test run and it's a freak, a total beast. Even on only 4s (2-2s lipo) it's crazy, a freak show.

I actually launched off the top of the hill out back and landed into the fence. Nothing EVER has gone up that hill like that, EVER. Luckily I didn't break anything, I had the brakes on full but airborne they don't stop it.

If I punch it in the nice green grass it looks like a lawn mower, grass shooting out the back with the front end off the ground about 2-3''. I have to find more room, it's a total freak.

So I'm waiting on the 5b body and driver figure I ordered, used the radio money for funds. :wnk I think I need adjustable upper arms and swaybars to help control it. A bit of negative camber should help, right now it's actually a bit on the positive side. :ack

I think next month I order the swaybars and upper arms, then some more 30c batteries from hobbycity. I can see that I could run into issues if I used 20c in this freak.

2 turnigy 30c 5000 packs stayed cool, and the motor didn't get warm at all, the fan didn't even turn on till the end of the 10 minute test run. So temp wise I'm very happy with it geared 17-44.

I am so very happy, I might just sell off my 1/8th ofna buggy, this TCS FREAK Savage is more than enough to satisfy my speed needs and jumping duties.

oh, and this morning I asked Kevin107 to make a ''FREAK'' sticker to put on the rear wing, it deserves the name 100%.

I only took it out to get a feel for the ESC and radio settings, both were right how I like it, might change just the brake curve, otherwise it's minty.
