That sounds kinda cool.. I wonder if everything except the glass and tires will be crome? Talk about a shiny rig in the sun. haha..

Oh God!!! A Matellic Special Clod Now that is AWESOME!!! I'll have to grab one or two for sure. I can only hope they do a Chrome edition High-Lift as I'd love a chrome Ford 350 body as well.:drool

yeah I think it will have a chrome body like the chrome edition pupmkin and gold lunchbox. It should look sweet!

yo Bill I stop in here and read the posts now and then even though I don't have a r/c car at this time... I've been wanting something to tinker with and play with lately though so that might change!

i kinda feel leary about this, because most of the tamiya vehicles that they have made into a "metallic special" were kind of a "last bow" before the vehicle was discontinued . . . . .

I don't know about a discontinuation. They just re-did the Clod as the Super Clod a few years ago. It wouldn't make sense to drop it now. You never know though what Tamiya is thinking. As long as the complete axles remain available we'll be ok.

I doubt that as well...

I have a Kinghauler Mettalic edition (Long since discoed) and Tamiya is still selling the Non-mattalic version to date

has anybody thought maybe they are doing it for the 20th aniversary of truck?

I doubt they would get rid of the clod, just about everyone at some point either owns a clod or knows someone with a clod they have been around for too long to just get rid of it and leave all of its fans with nothing

We are passed 20th now, 1987...
By the time it hits the shelves it would be a 22nd year anniversary truck:tong

That is awesome! The Clod must have the longest shelf-life ever compared to any rc.

Might be a long shot but I'm hoping the tires are chrome too! =P

Hey Joe, thanks :tmb

And I like the black plastic parts instead of the super's blue, or orig red, or bullhead orange. :ack

That one is Bad!

Chrome and black goes together nicely.

Added ESC is a nice bonus. Hope the price difference is not that big with the Super Clod.
