th67ss, no problems with the servo hitting the upper links, there's plenty of room.

william, I've got an almost complete set of tmaxx sliders to put on the truck, I just need to get two yokes and I'm set. No idea what happened to the two that should be with this set, I've had them in my parts box for years. I need to pick up a few odds and ends from Tower anyway, so I'll just put them on that order.

I'm going to use the F350 in the first pic on this one, but I'll also have a lexan body for when I run it. I suspect the brushless system will have way more power than I want/need and I don't want to wreck the hard body.

sweet build so far and have to agree the rear lock out looks great ! :tmb

the only thing (from experiance ) is that the RC4WD wheels are so heavy they do and will snap axles and half shafts if you jump it in any way :bang

Yeah, they are super heavy. When it comes time to have some real fun with the truck I've got a set of stock Clod wheels I'll run.

AirForceOne, the guy's name is Jake, he's on RC10talk.com and his screen name there is bigjeepzz. Pretty sure he's on some of the MT boards too, but not sure which ones. He was able to make my plate using the stock plate as a template and just not cutting out the motor mounts on one side.

Here's some progress shots. I can't believe this truck isn't done yet, buy it's not. This is easily the longest I've ever taken to finish an r/c project. Shock spacers are in place, wheels have air bleed holes, links are all lined up, I think it's about ready to roll. All I need now is some drive shafts. I had some Traxxas slider halves and bought the rest of the parts to complete them, but they didn't slide worth a darn. I believe they were both TMaxx parts, I wonder if the grooves changed a bit in the years since I got the older parts. Now I'm thinking I should just go with the RC4wd punisher shafts. Anybody have any experience with those? I've been holding off getting them because of the price, but I'm thinking I might need them anyway with such a powerful motor. Anyway, here is the truck, almost ready to go.

Oh man that is an amazing piece right there. That is exactly what I want. Where did you get the chassis or did you make it. I know it wouldnt be really performance oriented but I think that would look sick as a leaf spring truck those axles already look like the old rockwells anyway. I really am drooling over this truck.

The main chassis sections and tranny mount sections are from a stock Juggernaut. The metal upper rails are GPM parts, as well as the shock mounts and end braces. The cross braces are custom made aluminum pieces by bigjeepzz.

i had driveshaft issues with my txt i wound up running the old style maxx shafts i took 2 females and one male and made one shaft.. took the male shaft i cut the yoke off of it and jb welded it into one of the female shafts then cut the opposite female shaft down a lil bit so it would make a slip yoke style shaft.. its still holding up and im running twin mamba max pro esc's and twin 4600 kv castle motors just my .02
