the CR-01 has already been released or at least overseas. I think somesaid they were on e-bay. I have not seen them forsale in the usa yet. Tower hobbies has the CC-01 version listed for $253.99 and due late april. The pajero is listed at $179.99 and due late feb. so I think the price of the jeep wrangler will drop I cant see there beeing that much of a price differance in them tower's price must be wrong.

For those who just wants the body, it is now on feabay (Japan seller) for $29.99 (10 available), plus of course you need to purchase the window, lights etc. But it sure beats the high dollar price tags of original ones.

No more over priced Jeeps :tmb.

I'd better snag up a Pajero quickly. I will pick up two or three of the Jeeps when they hit the streets. And people said Tamiya doesn't listen.:) I hate those snowflake wheels though.:ack

Wow. Those Jeep bodies sure are a seller. No more on fleabay. Anyone here snatched one?

I guess Tamiya will have to produce more of those body set They will sell more than with chassis combined (CR-01 or CC-01).

I just noticed the Jeep will include an LED light system wich will probably make it more than the Pajero :ack I'm guessing $199 at Tower.. Cross my fingers for less though...

Lol all of a sudden there's a lot of Wranglers on ebay..
Yeah saw that. I guess a few people trying to cash in for big $$ before the re-release is out.

Personally having owned one I was not impressed with it';s performance. It looks good, but I built it and drove it just twice before shelfing, then finally selling it off. I know you can mod it to get it better but it's a scale driver only in my opinion. Very top heavy, gearing is tall, tires to hard, and the short arms on the front suspension limit its travel and performance. Not to mention unless this re-release comes with bearings you need to add another 50 bucks to the already high price tag.

But, it looks darn good. :willy

I seen that and I :rof

I would personly rather drive everything I own than put it on a shelf that is one reason why I put sum on my collection of rc's on e-bay yesterday and today. I just cant drive them all I am finally getting down to only have half a dozon rc's. I have only one other one I want to sell.

I am going to pick one of these up just to use as a scale rig for the scale course we are making this summer. The current cc-01 I have got turned into a demolition derby car and I am going to try it out tomorrow at the demo.

When I was younger I used to beat the crap out of everything I owned and I hated the idea of people shelfing cars. Lately though, I like for my rc's to look clean and new, and I really appreciate them sitting on my shelf as decoration. Of course everything gets run at one point, but I try not to beat them up too much especially if it has a hard body (I was PISSED when I rolled my hilift :ack). I have a Touareg, and it sees a lot of abuse, but then it deserves it cause it's ugly as sin. I will definitely be getting one of these jeeps, and though I will run it, I'm pretty sure it'll spend the majority of it's life on a shelf looking good.

I would love to own all those XC/CC-01 hard body series. But I SUCK big time in painting plastic bodies. the only body that I painted that turned out good is my Super Clod. I didn't like how the Juggy 2 body I painted turned out. It is just so-so.

But man, that Jeep body looks handsome.
