T Maxx Pulling Conversion

Truck Pulling Fans,

Here are some pictures of a Pulling Conversion done on a T Maxx. This happens to be a New In Box 3.3 T Maxx that I put the Haulman Manufacturing Kit on. This kit works on either the short, or extended chassis versions (this happens to be an "extended chassis"). Hopefully the pictures taken during this conversion provide a general overview of the various steps involved, and a close up of a few parts. With this kit, it only takes a few hours to transform a stock T Maxx into a Pulling Truck. We've done over a half dozen of these, but this was our first NIB conversion sold (another NIB conversion is in progress). We are running these regularly at all STPA events in the new 10 lb 4WD Nitro Class. We ran this class as an exibition at the NRCTPA Worlds (2011) and plan to run them at the 2012 Springs as well. If your interested in one of these, just let us know. Most of the parts also work on an E Maxx. By they way, I noticed the pictures downloaded into photobucket in basically reverse order. So the finished truck is shown at the top, and the "before" shot is at the very bottom (the truck right out of the box with the protective bag still on the body).

We offer 2 ready-to-assemble Conversion Kits. What we are now calling the "Basic Kit" contains all of the major drive line components you need (this includes the hardest to make parts) and it goes for $250. Our "Deluxe Kit" contains everything in the basic kit plus the Hitch Bracket, Front Weight Rack, Weights, and a Hardware Package and it goes for $320 (this is what you see in the photos). Everything in the Basic Kit will work on a T Maxx or an E Maxx. The Deluxe Kit is designed for a T Maxx (meaning the size of the front Weight Bracket, and number of weights to bring it up to 10 lbs). Special-order front weight racks are available for the E Maxx that will handle the greater number of weights required to hit the 12 lb 4WD electric class. PM me and I'll send you more details.

Thanks for the interest !

Best Regards,
Ed

I added 5 more "pages" to the photobucket album. They contain descriptions of the various Kits and Packages offered as well as images of the individual parts, and prices. As before, they loaded in reverse order, so it might be helpful to read the 5 pages now at the top of the album from right to left (they are labeled with page numbers at the bottom 1 thru 5). Please click on the link at the top of this thread to see the new stuff.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best Regards,
Ed

parts list

Hi Ed,

Tried to PM you but it wouldn't let me. Said your box was full. Could you send me a parts price list as well? I have two 2.5 tmaxx chassis that I would like to convert two a brushless puller. Will your parts work?

Also want to build a twd with tmaxx rear.

Thanks in advance.

CD,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I first saw these posts today at lunch on my i phone, but given my earlier mistake accidentially hitting the "don't like this post" button with my clumsy fingers on my small i phone screen, I decided to wait till I got home to reply this time from my computer...

Caseihpuller,
Your right, my PM inbox was full. I deleted a few PMs so maybe that will work now. The email that I check most often is [email protected], so it might work out best if you send me your contact info there, and I will forward you some specific pricing, and some pictures, etc, including of our 2WD chassis with a T Maxx rear. Are you thinking of a 10 # truck for the Pro Mod class, or maybe a 10# 2WD Nitro truck? Our 2WD chassis will work great for either class.

We have converted a "2.5 T Maxx" into a Nitro 4WD puller that now has a 3.3 engine in it. There are some differences in the older 2.5 T maxx chassis, drive line, and steering parts relative to the newer 3.3 based T Maxxes, but our kits will work on the 2.5 T Maxxes (might be easiest to convert to the 3.3 knuckles though). And it shouldn't matter if your feeding it with nitro, or electric power. Our Kits also work on the E Maxx chassis.

Best Regards,
Ed

photobucket pics are tiny

I clicked on the photobucket link to look at the pics, but they are so small that I can't read the price lists even if I zoom it in.

Sorry about that. I tried something by taking a photo of the price list and adding it to photobucket. That price list is a Word doc so I could email it to you and then it will be full size and clear. If you PM me with your email address (or just list it here if you want) I will email you that price list. Or if you want me to mail you a hard copy I can do that if you PM me your address.

Thanks for your interest in our products,
Ed
