swamp buggies

i've always liked the jeep 4 cylinder class swamp buggy racers. when i got my ww2 a few years ago, i started thinking about a swamp buggy conversion for it. never got around to it, but i may now that i am back in the hobby after a 4 year hiatus. it'd be easy enough to leave the ww2 2wd and just slap on some toy tractor tires, but i want a mutant. i'm thinking about turning the truck around backwards, adding steering in the "new" front, and then grafting in a pumpkin/lunchbox axle in the rear, for a hybrid 4wd. i'm sure someone else has tried this (but i've never seen or heard of it).

not looking to start a new class of racing (i don't race, only bash), but if it happened, i'd love to take the credit

I've never owned a WW but I have been playing with the idea of a mini clod usein pumpkin/hornet axles but it sat in a box because steering on of those axles is complex

actually the stock TLT chassis is what you want, just mount the body on that. I saw one done at tamiya club
