So in my attempt to come up with some sort of limiter strap system for this but im just not very creative at times so this is what I came up with at 2am after staring at the truck for hours lol. Clean it up some and try the metal clamp things I picked up but this was just to see if it would hold the weight and it did. Any other ideas please shoot em out there.

hmm, connecting at the shock looks like a good idea.

Why not just go to a hardware store or home depot and see if you can find some metal chain in the size you need for that? I think they might have something that would work for you.

That was mentioned before but my thought is chain can get tangled up so was after something that couldnt. Made some progress last or early this am rather lol. Get some pics later think I got something that will work.
Just wish the fram stretched out further so I could get more towards the front of the gearcases like your can Joe but this will have to do.

Ok here it is lol, aint much but its about as good as my creativity gets but its working. I did however miss a little issue and thats at the top, hit me after the fact that when its compressed the string will be bale to come off over the shock so my best fix was a trusty zip tie to make the loop to small :ack

Just wish I coulda attached further out over the gearcase itself but it would require something to be made to extend from the chassis plates and im not sure what would look good for one and might get costly since id have to have it made out of CF to match :-(

i see what your saying about over the gear case more ..... im in the same boat with these straps :willy wanting it to look good and be efficient
my chassis is a little easier than yours though

position wise i think you're in a good spot.
the whole purpose it to hold the shock from over extending.

on mine i expect to be out over the axle more, but my shocks are, too.
also, i got my roller together and i i think i could run it without shocks all together!?!
the freakin kongs absorb all the impact! the shocks dont even compress.
:willy
maybe it'll be different when i install the electronics and two batteries.

Yea they do take alot of the shock action but this rig is like 14lbs I think it was and I was getting it pretty airborne on the last shots I took so lot of weight moving around! Just seems alot more stress on the string being so far back but im no expert least their there and they are stopping the shocks from taking final hit. Time will tell to if the string is gonna hold but its pretty strong stuff but see how goes this Sat. at the coast :tmb

Yes but why change the pain the arse things 12 times and do it right :tmb lol I broke enough tubes with the kongs I gave in but I went with the tubes only first and used the mod on the gearcase with those nuts you insert in the cases, its on the front page. I think I still have the gearcases with those in them, can check if you would like them..

i did the other mod where the tubes and cases are tapped to 6-32 threads.
i can change a tube in just a couple minutes.
i really might switch to metal tubes if i have repeat issues,
but unless another wall jumps out at me i should be good!
besides, this was a "back burner" project!
im still trying to finish up a few other things.

Ugh guess some better knuckles are in order, these are hotracing so what do you expect...Be curious to see the ones Adam got from integy they look beefy, course provided they ever send the flipping order only ordered last week!
Thing to is all I did was do a nose plant going down a hill and not even fast at all, thought all it did was split a ball joint end(plastic part) but was just out soldering and looked over and this caught my eye :-(

Those tires sure are taking a toll on your truck..
I hope you can find parts that will stand up to the task of running them.

Well this is the first issue really, it did fine at the beach this was I thought just the plastic being old and getting brittle no biggie but I never looked at the other side till today and that was just a fluke cause I was moving it out of my way and just happen to catch it all bent :laugh
