That's a sick truck.

I saw the pics first and thought, "man, that thing's got some juice to get them Kongs spinnin".

Watched the vid and was more impressed. That thing really moves.

Read the specs and understood why.
Pretty sweet setup you got in that thing. Clods like this really make me want one.

Thanks guys, took a long time to get it this far. By far my most favorite rig I own, never get rid of it.
Here is a couple comparison pics with my next favorite rig, slash.

That thing is sure indeed moving!!! I thought when you had the thread in the readers rides before you got the larger TTR plates that you mentioned you had 5700KV Mamba's in it cause they sent you 5700s instead of the 4700s?

Originally I had 5700's yes cause they sent the wrong ones and they just were to much power so got the 4700's now and its still a rocket ship but not as bad lol.

wait so you're saying with the 5700s the thing was even faster? was it too fast to where it was uncontrolable & a bit of a hassle to drive?

I really like your videos. No mercy for the expensive RC's.
Can you imagine that Clod on 2 x 5700kv motors and 2 x 3s lipo?

I was gonna say something about that too.
I'm not really big on the bug/beetle bodies, I'm kinda stuck on pickups and suburban types. But I like this truck. The round bug body definitely came in handy getting itself upright.
Not a huge fan of the CR01 body, either. It looks too tall and wobbles side to side a lot when articulating (on the CR01 chassis).

Well I dont own any 3s lipos so wont see that anytime soon, I have ran them before in my pede and wow lol. Reality is this I wasnt after speed doing the bl I wanted less maintenece since the first time I was able to take a rc to the beach I took this and my brat and hotshot well the clod only last a few minutes cause the brushes were instantly ate up and after that I dead set it was going bl. Trick was getting it tame enough to not tear the truck apart, the 5700's were just to much for me anyways so the 4700's are ok. I have never been easy on my rides I build em to run not sit and look purty, I love to see em jump and do crazy stuff :tmb:burn

on the bug body, it was hard to find anything that would fit good with the kong tires, in the first few pages of this thread I posted some other lids, they were just to small. I also have the graverobber that fits it ok, then their is the gravedigger I could get but its just a huge body and flops around alot with those tall sides. I nice pickup lid would be nice tho.
I was actually laughing everytime it would do that rollover to :rof

I just looked through the rest of the thread, and yeah this body looks better than the others. The Grave Robber is 2nd.
I like how this body sits lower over the chassis. I don't really like it when the truck wears the body like a hat and the entire chassis is all exposed.

I think when I get around to building a Clod, it'll end up like this one... dual battery slots, brushless.

Anyone has nay other body suggestions please let me know. I like the ones that sit lower and cover more of the frame to.

Small update to post about, since I had sold my slash I kept the 2 bodies for it and had hopes to use one on the savage but quickly found out that wont happen(to short) so I had stuck one on the clod ages ago and it looked good but was using the slash then so didnt wanna mount it....so flash forward to now haha, had to get some longer mounts and thats it I thought I had it measured to clear the wheels under full compression but I was off a tad go figure lol. NOthing a scissor work wont cure but I like it.
To refresh since it might get asked I left the nose area clear cause I have one of those Go-Pro cams and on the slash I wanted more of the front to be seen so bought this stick slash lid just for running with a cam, I have not got around to figuring a mount for in the clod so thats my next to do item I guess. Had to add a batman sticker, everyone has to have one of those :laugh
Also disregard the forum stickers, its got a new addy thats in my sig :tmb

I wish you could get that chassis with the centurian? you know the faux rollcage built into it. I didn't know you still had that beast.

No way in my lifetime will the clod go anywhere! Gonn ahave to bury me with it and my savage :laugh They are my 2 favorite rigs I own and the 2 I have owned the longest and certainly put the most $$$ into haha.
Just after selling my radios everything has sat since literally early last summer :ack
Anyrate yea that rollcage would be sweet. Next thing I need to get some braces from CPE to brace the body mount plates a very weak spot in a roll.
