Stressed Out... Maybe you can help!

Good to see that RCMT is still kicking! Things have slowed down on most of the forums I frequent. I didn't fall off the face the earth or anything. I kind of took a break from things in '15, reevaluating life, being a grown up, all that good stuff. I got fired from job as cop back 2014, and I spent pretty much all of 2015 looking for work. It was ridiculous- you'd think a veteran would have little getting hired anywhere, especially in military heavy area like northwest Florida. But things didn't work out. After applying for 64 jobs varying from state trooper to quality assurance evaluator to grass cutter/gardener (seriously), I got picked up as a wrecker driver in November. And I worked my tail running that rollback... I'm talking 80-90 hours work weeks, call outs all hours of the night, working in miserable weather-and I made between 400-500 bucks each week. I knew I'd die if I kept that up. My reserve unit worked hard to keep me gainfully employed throughout the year, and I have to thank God for that.

I'd been jamming out to the song by 21 Pilots entitled 'Stressed Out'. It basically reflects on how much better life is when you're a kid. I thought I was gonna have to start selling off my collection and my tools to keep things together. Then my breakthrough came. Booz Allen Hamilton offered me job supporting a foreign military sales program, and they are paying me a good salary, gave me great benefits and free training. The trade off? I'm working in the country that bought the stuff. But, ultimately it's no different from any of my other deployments. So, I'm going to start getting back into the hobby to occupy my time (I'm gonna be here a while). I'm going to need a little help though.

I have a DPO address, which is the same as an APO address for overseas troops. There just happens to be dimensional restrictions what can be shipped. I'm still researching what exactly I want, and I'm leaning to a 4x4 Slash and a scaler monster based on a SCX10. Trouble is I'm going to need someone to potentially build the SCX, and package it incredibly carefully (the package will travel to the US Embassy and be secured in a shipping container, until the local national throws it in his truck and delivers to an Air Force that flies planes crammed to the point of standing room only...) before sending it off to me. I'd of course compensate you for your troubles. Will has helped me out before, and I
don't remember who else but another member hooked up a Vaterra Twin Hammers for me. I've got a basic RC tool kit, my Triton EQ charger and a few other RC elements on the way. Once again and like before, I can't bring my whole workbench to build and solder myself here, but I'll have enough to repair and maintain. Let me know if you think you want to help me out.

Geeze you have been through a lot - glad to hear things are looking up and see you back on here. I've slowed down a ton so wouldn't be much help to get you a truck but I think someone will chime in and help out. It's been a while, welcome back.

Jevin,
Glad to hear you have found employment. Sucks about the rest, you are a good guy and don't deserve the grief.

Glad everything is finally getting better for you. I would love to build an SCX-10 MT for you but have no experience building one lol. If there is anything I can help with, send me a PM. I also might sell my SCX-10 which has about 5 minutes of run time on it. (has leaf springs but easy to swap back)
