i just bought a CPE terminator chassis (that should be here this week) and wheel wideners. i am trying to build a competitive racer. so to my question, which steering set up to go with? input would be greatly appreciated. i was looking at the Ripper bta set up. is this the best way to go? should i stay with CPE do they have a carbon fiber setup? :burn

The only thing with a behind the axle is you get correct ackerman, but the inside tire can hit the four links, an the outside hardly has any turn in it.
This is compounded greatly if you want to run much Toe Out.
You can have in front of the axle system, that turns much sharper even though it has negative ackerman.
Just make a link that clears the gear case at full turn such as the BTA, and make sure the servo link clears as well, and if you run CVD's you can crank the knuckles over to the point they almost kiss the ball on the axle tube.
