First - Is there a way to get just thew bottom little black clips that keep the shocks in palce? I can only find the complete shocks on the part schematic

Second - My GP is acting wierd - After 2 great days of beating the tar out of it:rock the rear steering is locked in a turned position. When I switch steering modes to 4WS it automaticaly corrects itself back to a neutral position and is running correctly. What did I do and how do I fix it. Myson was running it for a while and messed with the settings but I can seem to adjust just the rear channel to save my life.

are you talking about the round peice on the bottom of the shock that holds the spring onto the shock?
if so, i don;t think you can just buy that part, i think you have to buy the whole shock.

as for the steering, did you check the steering trim on the radio?
the reason i say that is because when you switch to any mode that does not activate the rear steering, the servo will always go to the neutral position no matter what. if the trim for the rear steering (3rd channel) got changed and you switch to operate the rear wheel steering, the steering will automatically go to whichever side the trim has been set to (+left or +right). since it does correct itself, i would say that the servo is fine, it sounds like a minor adjustment is all.
to really trouble shoot it, switch the servos where they plug into the receiver. If the problem goes to the front steering, i bet the steering trim is just out of adjustment. I'm not 100% positive if this is the problem but it might be.

Those stupid clips have a habit of falling out. Every time I jump it one falls out. I ended up putting WK shocks on mine for that reason. I put some 5w30 oil in them and they seam to work good. I have only run a half of pack through it since tho. I will keep everyone posted.By the way I did the shock mod on my stock ones and they worked good except for the clip and the fact they started leaking oil.

The arm on the servo prob stripped. Replace with ofna servo saver on front and rear.

Unfortunately, the Ground Pounder shock retainers aren't available separately. The shock retainers from the Tamiya TNX also fit. Tamiya P/N 0444292.

Actually the steering issue was a glitch.

I reset the ESC and flip flopped the first and third channels and everything went bact to normal. I then reflopped the channels and all is well.

Thanks for the help on the shock clips as well. Jumping is what did me in.

The WK shocks on mine work awesome. The truck has a 1/2 inch of down travel(at the shock) But the truck needs sway bars. It soaks up big jumps now and also flexes on the slow stuff. My epoxied shock mounts are holding up real well. So well in fact my son broke the screw holding the 4-link bar on. I made some sway bars out of piano wire and seam to work great. Next mod is clod tires it should jump even better.

man we just jumped the drive way about 40 times and only broke the screw holding the body mount on. It took quite a few tumbles and held up great!
