Red button controls the flasher options for the lights. All the bits and pieces will be moving off the body for paint.

Box art colour scheme but black instead of blue.

Looks cool with the lights and do you have a vid of the lights on flash mode.

No video of my truck but I found a video on youtube of the same thing. Well actually mine it the generic version of this one. GT LED light system shown in the video was $26. The ones I got were $13 each and last time I looked on Amazon they were $8.

And so it begins. First coat of black.

I really started second guessing myself and thinking about going navy blue since there are so many black Bullheads. But then I found a couple of pictures of darker blue Bullheads and decided the black will go with the red chassis better. Plus black is one body colour I don't have.

Second coat. Little concerned I am laying it on too heavy as the black seems to be covering better than the other colours I have used.

I find those adjustable sprayer nozzles on the Krylon paint cans causes the paint to spray on a little too heavy.
Even with the Dupli Color cans.

I don't see any runs but I am going to go easy on the next few coats. The green took 3 or 4 coats to get where the black is after 2. I will say I am happy I went with black instead of going the navy blue route. Shout look awesome with the red chassis, chrome links, and yellow bits.

Last coat is on I hope. Once it dries a bit I will set it on the table and have a look for pale spots. Bullhead body has so many curves and angles its hard to paint. Really anxious to get this bad boy done and out driving.

EDIT:
Took the body out under the lights and damned if there are not two light areas where the front fender meets the step and cab door. And a light area around back on the lower body.

EDIT 2:
Took another look and found more light areas. The lip around the drivers door when you looked up at it was pale on the bottom side. Jeez! And I thought I had covered all the angles.

One more overall coat and I am done. There are still a couple of not light but odd areas where the fender meets the step but I have twice now almost caused a run in the paint trying to cover these spots. They are not really noticeable and will be more or less hidden with the air cleaners so I am going to quit while I am ahead. Final pictures soon.

Finished!

With all the chrome parts on the truck my plan is to simply add more! The lip on the front fenders, door handle, and trim around the door and windows will all get a good dose of bare metal foil.

Awesome paint job. The sinister black reminds me of this guy:

True CBC but it is smooth and even which is all I care about. Once the decals are on and the whole thing clear coated it should be shinier.
