Spid's Bullhead

They were the first thing to jump out at me. So black and shiny. Nothing like the white mess my other two Clods tires were. I was actually debating installing the dual tires RPPHobby and CPE sell on the Bullhead. So these may yet end up unused.

Assembly begins.

CPE servo.

Beautiful red chassis.

I love building the stock chassis and suspension. Its just so old school feeling. No fancy tube frame here. Pure body on frame.

Bumper is awesome looking.

Could not resist dropping the body on at this point. Oh yeah!

The dual Imex Clod tires would look awesome on there with that body. The tires are slightly bigger in dimension compared to the stock Clod tires. RPPHobby sells them at a cheaper rate.

For now I will stick with the stock tires. Duals will be the future.

Not much done tonight. Trimmed the knuckles to improve steering.

Got the outer axles put together. Nice and smooth and dust free thanks to CPE rubber sealed bearings. :)

Got a good chunk of time today and made huge progress.

I love the look of the stock chassis. Even the stock shocks look pretty cool.

Body on. Front.

Notice you have the chrome parts on. Are you still going to paint that body? You'll would think Tamiya would of gotten rid of the existing hole for the BullHead Re-release of where the economy switch normally goes. That was one of the improvements to Clod kits that could of been done I think. But I guess their sticking with the same molding equipment for the stock Clod chassis.

White goes quite well with the other colours but the decals and chrome won't pop quite as nicely. So I will be painting the body "Cowboyclod" black. ;)

Notice you have a red button there to turn the lights on and off.
Now you gotta remove the lights to get the body painted in nice warm weather. Not unless you plan on carefully masking them off!!
