And here comes the pics of the front sway bar system!
There are these two holes next to the steering servo, so I decided to design the front sway bar mount so it could be installed with two screws utilizing those holes.
And this is with the mount pushed in place, but there are no screws yet as you can see. Also, unlike the rear sway bar, this goes through the chassis, and you can see where if you look closely where the bar mounting holes are positioned.
Here's the truck back on it's wheels, and the sway bar and arm bolted on. The front one uses 8mm spacers between the mount and the arm.
With the body on it looks like this.
So that's it, and now we get to the planetaries! These might be a bit on the small side scalewise, but I didn't want to hide those molded nuts on the wheel, so I made the hub as big as I could. And these are designed for the MJ wheels with smaller offset. I don't remember which one it is, front or rear wheel... The hubs are just a really TIGHT fit on the wheel nut, so it takes some pushing to install them, so they have to be removed carefully with a pair of pliers when you need to get the wheels off.
I tried to paint some of the bolt heads, but it looks a bit messy being so small part to try and paint!:rolleyes
And overall look on the truck showing both sway bars and planetaries. You might think that the front sway bar arm is too far away from the axle, and it really is scalewise, but keep in mind that my trucks wheel base is 12", so with shorter wheel base it will look better. I also could make the arm a bit longer, but that would look just crap, so I'm gonna stick with that setup. I don't plan to offer the sway bar links with the kit, when I put them up for sale, because all of you have different wheel bases and ride height and shock setups etc, so those you need to make yourself.
Just this one more pic showing everything without the body.
