I don't know about anyone else here, but I hate winter. We are getting hammered over here on the east coast. Certain sections of my driveway had up to 5ft of snow with the snow drift. I hate winter:bang

Ha ha, oh wait I'm in the middle of it too.

I'm supposed to go to a family thing today, except nobody has shoveled my complex and snow is over 3 feet high piled up to the doors.

But, I have a case of beer and some of those cocktail wieners in hot sauce, and about 1/2 bag of funyuns so when do those football games start again? :laugh

HaHa, man you live in the wrong part of the country then!! I absolutely love the winter and the cold that it brings. I know it does not do much for getting to run the RC's outside but I have just grown up never working indoors ever and it has always been easier to warm up than to cool down.

I like it just like this, 7 degrees and nice and crisp outside with no moisture in the air! Shot taken about 40 minutes ago, I just wish we would get some more snow like you guys!

The area in the picture is the space I am going to build the Clod track. I have a good 125-150 X 200+ ft space to work with. Goes all the way from the telephone pole on the right to the tree with all the railroad ties next to it. Just have to do some clearing and leveling. Need a lot of dirt really.

The cold Kills everything that isn't hardy!!! haha

Nice pic Joe:tmb looks like you have plenty of space down there. It doesn't look like you have to much snow down there. There is snow and then there is too much snow. I beleive the snow we received this weekend falls under the too much snow category!

When you can't shovel anything over 4 inches deep is too much :willy

I personaly love the winter and snow, but being in a WC not as fun as it once was.

You can whine after youve lived in Alaska and seen 97 below with the windchill and 10 or so foot snowdrifts LOL

Try doing PT at 6:30 in the morning at negative 20 and having to get down and do pushups... my nuts almost froze to the ground.

right there

with you guys I'm over in Bridgewater Ma and got hammered. Hell it's still snowing.
btw Pedeanaut I kinda have a reverse version of the military thing I was stationed in OK and summers there would get to 120 degrees it sucked I'll take winter any day over summer. I can always add clothes to get warm at 120 you could be stark naked and still sweat your nuts off.

I am not sick of the snow yet I will give it 10 more years but am getting there I am in a wc too for the last 10 years. I am very active though so I just jump on the 4-wheeler and plow it out of the way but anything over 3 feet would be hard to plow away with the 4-wheeler. I just hate the fact that I cant get a 4x4 truck. I have not found one that you can airbag or anyone that makes a kit for one. I am sick of driving a car around in the winter.

they only seem to have air bag lift kits and helper systems for the rear but nothing that will drop a independent front end so the whole truck can lay the frame on the ground when fully depressed. I only found one build on gm full size that did it but no one else. Kind of would be nice to have a bolt in kit with not a lot of welding, cutting and making custom brackets.

From the 3rd floor here you have a nice view of the bay mouth, then out the other side of the building over to the bay and Navy piers. Winter time has some of the best viewing when it's a clear sunny day. Every summer seeing the ''Queen Mary'' come in the bay is cool, the ship is HUGE.

Summer here would be great, except in the 70's when the majority of the Navy pulled out leaving us with little more than the War College and some torpedo development they went for the tourist trade. Tourists, and or the tourist trade has many locals unhappy. Tourists seem to not care about locals, laws, or anything else except drinking and bad behavior. Perfect example, my Aunt had to call the cops this past summer because some drunk couple left the bar after 1am closing stopped and was having sex on her porch.:ack

September, and early spring are the best time for locals now. Weather is great, you can drive around without the traffic and the beaches are wide open. You can go into a bar and the restaurants without a wait, or worry about parking.
