ok so I want to make the front track equal on my two slash trucks. I understand the proline protract arms will give me the extra width but what about the hexes? I know the fronts are thicker than the rear, so what im trying to figure out is if I keep the big grey ones or switch them to the black ones?

so in short, proline protract arms up front, black thin hexes or grey thick hexes? also, do I use fronts or rears all the way around?

any and all information is appreciated. thanks!

according to this proline article it seems I need to keep the stock grey hexes up front with the black hexes in the rear.

now I just need to figure out if I go with all "fronts" or all "rears"???

Neither. You need to run the specific "Pro Trac" wheels with the kit. They are basically 0 offset wheels. Much less than either the stock fronts or rears have. Same wheels the Losi SCTE, AE SC10 4X4 and pretty much every other 4wd SC truck (and some 2wd ones) run now.

PM me. Depending on what you are looking for tire wise I can help out. I have a few different sets of SCTE offset wheels and tires. Let me know what surface you are running on and I can see what I have. Will be cheap - doing some cleaning out.

Traxxas drives me nuts with the different offset rims front and rear for the Slash and Stampede. It's completely useless.

A lot of the trucks are now standardizing to the SCTE offset (0). The Slash was the original, and most of the owners won't ever change rims and tires so there is no reason for them to switch. Switching would mean retooling for rims, arms, camber links, and possibly hubs as well.
