:tmb Thanks for the help in getting this problem solved Joe, and everyone else involved:tmb

I had a friend call me the other day with this problem and if I hadn't been a member here or saw this thread; he would be in the same boat as many that are struggling with this setup. :rock

Maybe Castle should send an addendum with the sidewinder ESC and systems stating this issue and how to resolve it when used in a Clod Buster:wnk

If you've got the right radio, you should be good to go.

I am runnin a new Tactic TTX404 2.4ghz 4-channel spread spectrum radio with a matching 6 channel reciever.

not sure if this even matter's but I also will be running (2) of the PCE metal geared 200+oz. steering servo's.

    good to go still?

I have not even fired any of this up yet either....

and while i am here and still rather new to the site how do I post a pic of my truck as an avatar?

it leave's me no choice but to pick stock ones and I dont think there working for me either lol...

As I need two brushless ESCs (because I ordered a super clod kit) I stumbled upon the sidewinder sv2 on ebay.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/370516016718

It is really affordable for that price and I just wanted to ask, if there are different versions of this ESC and if my ebay link is the right or wrong one.

Is this the ESC you are talking about ? Thanks.

I live in germany, so I don't have many choices where to buy that castle creations stuff. Nearly nobody in Germany sells Castle Creations, so I have to order it from USA.

Yes there are 2 versions of the Sidewinder. That link works fine and those are indeed the ESCs talked about in this thread

Good luck on your Clod build:tmb

So far I am happy with theses escs.
Just be careful; if you're wanting to run one battery you'll need a rx and tx with mixing.

Why ? I find the possibility to use 3s Lipos very attractive.

From what I read, this esc is the same as the sv2.
Also, the sct 4 pole motors don't seem to work on single packs.
Check the brushless clod thread in the stickies.

Mixing allows two channels to do the same thing.
Check the manual to see if it has it.

    I have:

    AILERON ch1
    ELEVATOR ch2
    THROTTLE ch3
    RUDDER ch4

    TRIMS

    REVERSING SWITCH's

    V-tail Mixing

    Elevon Mixing

it's for a plane but I am running 4 wheel steer 2 servo's 2 esc's bec etc. and figured if I wanted a dump bed or any other crazy stuff I still have the option to add two more servo's or something...

Looks like it's got the mixing you need.
So... 2 channels mixed together for throttle.
You could then use the other two for steering, or one with a Y.

    I could check the manual.

they need to make a thin sheet of got glue material where you can lay it over something then run a heat guun over it until it forms and seals and walla mcgyver special.
