hey dudes!

I'm currently planning to build up a clod with the following setup:
superrooster
17x3 motors
6 cells
4ws.

I've always been building my own chassis, but, I don't have the time at this point, but I do have the money. What options are still out there? I've seen an zilla4 very cheap on ebay, but, that's almost a decade old now. (and looks like it to...) tremors are gone, JPS's... What are the more racey options out there? But still back some good looks?

And, as for piggyback shocks, (i want some on me TXT, so I have something to bash this summer) is it worth the extra penny? And what brand should I look for?

dont waste your money on a zilla ever. its not worth its weight in scrap anymore.

as for everyday runner chassis it usually depends on how much you want to spend and what you are running on.

if you can get a used powers chassis that your best bet for a simple no frills tough chassis. cant go wrong there. thundertech has some great options with the ripper pros and the rage if you wan to go a little cheaper and they are readiliy available. john etzler makes a SICK custom titanium chassis setup that he can customize for you with different powedercoat colors and the thing is pretty much indestrcutable (any questions on this chassis just shoot me an email i have one and i can snap some pics for you). if you want the best all around performance for a race setup you should take a look at the PRP berzerker chassis. its hands down the most tunable smoothest working chassis i have owned and has the COOLEST rws setup on it you will find. it is however the priciest you will find. you can find some info for them on their website www.teamprpracing.com .

hope that helps some!

for race chassis you have the thundertech ripper, tweaked powers chassis, prp berserker, etzler titanium, and xtreme xc2

as far as piggyback shocks go they arent a big differnce from good alum oil shocks and are more for looks at the rc level. if u want them integy, rc4wd, and progressive make them. (progressives are highly adjustable but often leak)

thnx for the advice guys! I'll ditch the piggy's for now. That tuber from team tweaked is wickid! Never seen a tube-racing chassis before! does any-one know what it costs? It didn't had any pricing info on the site. :)

Cheers!

btw, I also found a zilla2, can't resist that one for that price! It's 64 euro's or so! That's gonna be a chassis upgrade for me big stocker.

the Z2's are fun but they are way top heavy be carefull you will roll alot but they can take a pretty good beating. These guys are right on the other chassis as well. Also I have the Integys on my truck and so far so good and they look awesome!!!

Bari is making the ECD-2 now which has steering systems and awsome upper link mounts along with the chassis for 380

that's pretty steep renegade, but prolly worth it. That zilla2, dunno, it's the chassis that grabbed me when I was younger and looked at the pics of those great hopped up clods. And it's so bloody cheap! and easy to install, and... (blablabla) Those shocks place me for a dillema. you rarely see them in Holland, so parts are pretty rare. Then agian, me txt is more show then go, so... I just need so much! I really look up to fix all those trucks up with decent shocks. I need over 28... bleegh. That's gonna cost me! :|
It's good to spend some time on the hobby again, it's so relaxing even searching the net for parts n stuff, let alone driving them around :)

If you like the style and the price of the Z2, get one ! I've owned two Z2's and was very happy with the performance for bashing.

(the bashability...?)

Heya Roog!
Looking at the specs of your new Clod, I assume you will at the WinterCup? Could you give me (a link with) some info on the dates and rules? Because I might come by and say Hi someday! :)

I love those zilla 2's :)

That will be my next build after this one. This one needs to have a low center of gravity.

That ripper (and a JPS) is great, but the homebrewbug bit me again LOL

here you go mate. I'm not there the 25th, I'll be joining them the last race of the season I think. Still have a lot of fabbing to do!

I also won those JPS aluminum rims on ebay. Not for die hard racing/bashing, but they are so sweet ^_^

these are the one's I bought, fair price also for 31 and a half quid.
