hey guys im not really new here but this is one of my first posts. anyhoo the lhs just announced wed be running monster trucks and pulling this winter im no beginner to pulling but my race clod well lets say i broke an axle tube on the first run and its been on the workbench ever since waiting for some use but im gonna break it out again this winter and i have no idea how to set it up. ok details obviously clod axles(with fixed tube) and an extreme carbon fiber chassis (i think its an xc2) with cantilever suspension. my questions are what springs should i use(i have t-maxx shocks)what oil and what servo for steering? also any other tips you guys have for racing clods would be greatly appreciated. thanks matt

I have had good success with losi reds and silver springs on my powers clods, I also usually use 30 wt oil. I think on a canti design you sometimes need to run a bit heavier oil. I set the suspension up so it has some sag to it (10-15%).

As far as servos go, I would recommend something with alot of torque (110 +) and something that is fast (under .15) I personally love my JR 9000s, its 128ox of torque in .06 :tmb.

Are you racing on carpet of dirt?
