run time??

Good Day all, new member here, but I have had clods before. I just finished building my clod with the following items:

CZ 2 chassis
stock motors
tamiya ESC (from the SC metal edition)
duratrax 5000mah NIMH battery (sorry, no lipos):tong
no plans to go to lipos or brushless, so please no comments...

anyway, i wanted to know with this setup, how much run time can i expect?

Nah, he should see closer to 20-30 mins. I ran that exact same set up before.

I got about 20 to 25mins with two 9T motors on a novak super duty esc with one 5200 turnigy 2s lipo.. bashing.. first charge on the batt also.. should get better after I use it some more.

Li-po's really don't get much more capacity holding after several uses, like the hold Nicads, and NiMh used to..
"some" manufactures state they may do better after cycling the first few times,
, but I never have seen it in the last 5 years.
25 minutes straight through running on 9 turns in a clod is tough on the motors, real tough..
