This was a combo build between myself and Jamie4x4
I did all the bodywork and paint. He made the chassis and built the trucks. There were 2 matching trucks done at the same time. 1 for Jamie and the other for Scott Hess ( owner of Hercules )

Alot of body work in these too.... Tilt hood, bed , made firewall/cab wall/bed wall , Filled the seams on the front valance and tailgate, opened up the hood for the motor and the last was to shorten the bed. Its been shorted in 2 spots. Once before the wheel well and the again after it.

Oyea and I forgot to add that there were over 150 pieces to paint between the 2 trucks !

That's just freaking awesome.
What method did you use to cut the shape of the hood?
I'm thinking of building a Lethal Weapon retro class body myself.

For the separating the hood I personally just like to use an xacto knife and keep scoring it til its cut through. Since you have to follow such a close line I dont like to take the chance with cut off wheels. After that its a pretty clean cut, I go back and finish off any edges .

I guess that would very time comsuming if you're cutting a stock Clod body with a xacto knife. I'm in the line of using a hack saw just behind the cab. I've also herd people using sewing thread to cut. I tried that method but it wont work for me due to my personal limitations. I also thought of a hot wire cutter but I dont think so.

Ya Terry really did a great job on the paint and body work, Scott Hess was very impressed with his. This was a fun and challenging build to say the least, now on to the next one! Later Jamie
