Removing Tire residue?

On my new Clod Tires, they have a residue from when they were molded. What is the best way to remove this residue? I tried washing them, did not seem to work. Is there a good solution to wash them in, or do I bust out with a stiff bristled brush and elbow grease?

Thanks Stangnomore: Believe it or not I did use search prior to posting...must have been the way I was typing it in. Anyhow thank you for the link to the thread.

No problem. I remembered it from another thread and think there is also another thread out there.

I've been using goo gone on mine, seems to work pretty good. Soilworks will just tell you to to run them and it goes away.
