Hey...I'm in the process of shortening the ESC wires from my mamba esc. I only wanted to take about an inch off them. I'll first say that I'm very experienced when it comes to soldering and have never had a problem until now.
This is the second mamba esc that this happened. Anyway, I was about to shorten the wires, I had everything prepped and ready to go. I place the hot solder iron onto the tabs and the black wire came off fine, white wire, just fine, but the stinking red wire...just wouldn't come out. I took a 10 minute project and turned it into a 2 hour ordeal, and I'm still not done.
Its like the wire was stuck or something. No matter how much heat I put on the tab, the wire wouldn't come out. I finally got it two hours later and now I can't get the shortened wire back in the hole. Its frustrated me to the point of wanting to throw out the esc. I may have even burned up the esc but I wouldn't know cause I can't even get the wires back in to see if I burned it up.
So now I have this esc that may or may not work, and can't get the red wire in for the life of me. Is there anything you guys at castle can do? I can't believe I'm even saying this but how much would it cost to have it fixed? Please let me know.
