Tamiya's little 1/12 scale wheelie popping, basic R/C truck from the 80's!

I got hold of this one years ago. It's gone through some bashing in its time but never gave up. It's not looking bad for a truck thats almost 20 years old.

Handling is shall we say, twitchy! But the acceleration is insane thanks to a Castle Sidewinder ESC and 5700 KV brushless motor!!!

The gears in these trucks are very tough, so amazingly this basic ride is able to handle brushless power without a problem.

No idea what the top speed is yet, I've not found a large enough flat space to test it!!!

I have always wanted one of these trucks, just never got around to getting one. One day in the near future once both of my crawlers are finished I plan to get one, just not with a brushless in it, just a nice stock racing motor. I bet that thing dances on the rear wheels when you stomp on the gas!

LOL is sure does!

At half throttle it's going much faster than a standard pumpkin would, but is still able to accelerate on fast enough to make use of the wheelie bar!

The Pumpkin was my first ever RC! I had such a blast with it!

I still have two of them...

One, a normal Pumpkin tucked away under cover:

And... I still have the Mad Pumpkin. 9 cells, Reedy Sonic motor, geared up... it's insane! I basically did it for beach drags.
