New lid, just in time for next weekend's RCMTC-MI race. I'll get some better shots the next time the sun comes out here in Michigan, probably around May or June. :tong

That is a great looking truck JK!

Loving the blacked out chassis and rims and the cut on those tires is money. The RedBull body just makes it that much cooler.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments!

MiRatlhed - I hope so...even if I don't tear it up it will be fun to race again. 2 months between races is WAY too long. :ack

Mo - I got lucky with the tires as these were the first tires I ever shaved. Beginners luck!

I forgot to mention - if you have never used Kevin @ Vinyl7's talents, you may want to consider for your next project. Kevin is super easy to work with and his vinyl work is top notch. He helped me a ton with this project and I can't thank him enough.

I bet you enjoyed all the beautiful baby powder-fine dust that clod tires leave behind too. That stuffs goes everywhere.

It is *amazing* how far that stuff will travel and it just settles on everything.

how does the WK handle with the Clod sized tires on it? what rims are those?
The rims are stock Clod with HPI SS monster Wheels 2.2's stuffed inside as adapters. This threadshows how it's done. Mine were done by shaving off the outside lip off the 2.2 rim and inserting them on the outside of the Clod rim, thus making what was the inside of the Clod wheel the outside. The 2.2 rim also fit flush with the edge of the Clod wheel so everything is tucked in. I can post some pics if needed.

As far as handling it's not bad. The truck jumps really well and after some swaybars were fashioned the cornering is much better. Just make sure your diff is shimmed up really well, switch to a 32 pitch pinion and spur, and you might as well swap out the transmission gears for some aluminum ones.
