Well after passing the mid-season mark we're back to regular season racing. We marked the start of the second half by introducing Retro Class, just as an exhibition class for this year. It turned out to be a HUGE success giving drivers a whole new experience from the fast paced racing classes and instead concentrating on precision driving. The only hang up during the day was the weather as rain limited us to just two heats.

The Courses:

Racing: I setup what was supposed to be a straight line drag strip, we even qualified Stock and Mod classes that way, but it turned out to be too boring for us so we made it an oval by making the trucks turn outward and loop back on the course. Pretty fast but the rain later in the day made things squirrely.

Retro: Wally setup a small, tight, but jam packed Retro course. Each driver having a spiral course to themselves.

Start off pulling:

Unhook and turn outward to the outer most lane and go over the first mound

then the crush cars

Turn unward to the center lane and go over the second mount then into the mudpit(bird seed) then out to finish.

Winners:

Stock Class:

HawnMT 2 of 2 Heats Stock Clod "Silver Bullet"

Mod Class:

8ROCKS 2 of 2 Heats TTR Rage Clod "Superman"

Outlaw:

nosyajg 2 of 2 Heats Bennett Clod "the orange car"

Retro

nosyajg 1st heat "Super Pete"

teambgracing 2nd heat "Bearfoot"

That's Jayson's daughter. You should've heard what he said when he took that picture, had us rolling! Only he can say it though. Most of the stuff Jay says can't be posted but he keeps us laughing all day long.

awesome Kent ! looked like your big Cat got some air there how's it running ?
Definitely getting there as fars as adjustments both to the truck and my driving it. Racking up some wins but making some driver errors. That clear straightaway coming back should've given me an advantage but I couldn't get the turn coming out of it figured out. I came in tight on the qualifying run and flipped the truck, I managed to save it, but that made me take the turn much wider later on. And when the rain came my wheel speed on the wet grass was killing me. I say the straight is to my advantage because my truck can accelerate at full power and hold a straight line better than the Clods, but they were killing me in the turns. My truck can turn with them I just gotta figure out where her limits are. Also still waiting on the new RC4WD Rumble tire. I want to dump the Pullers because the tread design just isn't right for this setup but I set the truck up with this tire because the Rumble's are about the same size.

What vesion of the firmware are you using? I noticed that when I loaded v1.28 beta my field link started blinking saying my mamba max esc is not compatable but when I when I went back down to v1.27 Beta, my field link recognized the esc and I could change the setting again..

Hope this helps..

Shoots..
